Here is my first mousseline Eperon d'Or changeant which I bought on a whim not expecting too much .The mousselines I've tried in store were meh on me and I wasn't enamoured.
When it arrived I fell for it completely , it's far more beautiful IRL than I expected.[though changeant it ain't]
I would have preferred a 140 but in fact I like the stole shape a lot ,and I love the fact the lilac is tempered with grey , ointment pink and rouge H .

frou frou, you look lovely in your mousse! Congrats on this beautiful colorway. I saw this design in the boutique several months ago and it clearly said changeant on the tag but I could not for the life of me see the shimmer! Another H mystery, I suppose. But regardless, this cw is very soft and it is a beautiful mousse. I find the stoles are the easiest to wear - just throw on and go!

I've been celebrating your scarf throughout the threads! But oh la la, HERE I'm catching sight of that gorgeous texture in the dress AND in the Trim. I love that touch—the grain of the leather, the nubby textile, the smooth silk. Perfect. That's chic to me, that mixture for the senses.

frou frou, yaaayyyyy! Love the lilac and grey on you, and I think the stole is an outstanding option. I was sort of meh about the stoles in general because they are not so much of a discount for half the fabric and less than the versatility of a 140, but in the mousseline I think the stole shape is TDF, you look stunning!

:giggles:

Well, I have caved and ordered this-- these pictures are just too pretty to resist. I swear TPFers are a thousand times better than H.com at capturing the mousses; I'm not sure I would have ordered this one if I'd just been going by the official website photos!

Congratulations! You will love it! Now we are even as it was your Axis Mundi modeling shots sent me straight to the boutique! The two are so different and soooooo beautiful...happy to be twins once again! :hugs:

This is sooooo lovely! Congratulations! You wear it so well!:smile1:

Well, I could not match hopiko's gorgeous beach shots of this mousseline. Her photos really capture it perfectly-- it's much more the rich turquoise in her photos than a cool blue, which is how it looks on my monitor in my photos and in the ones on H.com right now. So grateful for those lovely pics, hopiko! :hugs:

And in case it doesn't go without saying at this point, I am now officially obsessed with the mousselines. I think I love them more than the cashmeres, actually, for the way that they can be fluffed up, knotted down, thrown on, carefully arranged, cold weather, hot weather, casual, dressy...

The pattern is beautiful-- love the swirls of color! Congratulations!

Thanks Calexandre I think those swirls are what made me gasp when I saw it .

And your new blue beauty is beyond gorgeous , that blue is the luminous blue the early Italian painters used . I only say that as I was at a gallery today mesmerised by the intensity of those pigments .
I'll be joining you on the mousse trail I think , so many stunning shawls on this thread....

Thanks kittyhawk Yes the changeant is a real misnomer for this one . I'm glad you find stoles easy , I suppose I'm used to GM washed silk and cashmeres . Actually it's lovely to try new ideas , I need to go back and see how others style their stoles.

doloresmia I agree, action shots are brilliant . I love sellers who show how shawls/scarves tie and drape . And of course this thread is heaven for getting ideas .

froufrou [/B]- this looks so beautiful on you![/QUOTE]
Lanit THankyou dear , you have shown so many lovely mousses I've always wanted one after seeing them ..

Blushing ! I love the rouge H as much as you , and seeing that on the label clinched it . I think the red warms up the palette and the grey [violine] pulls it back from boudoir territory! I was a little worried about looking wet and girlie , but your words reassure me .

textilegirl Thanks for the kind words , it's growing on me by the day!
No chance of airing this now, the freezing weather has sent me back to polo necks and cashmeres!

Fellow mousseline lovers-- especially those of you who are more experienced with them-- may I ask how you find the hardiness of the changeants compared to the non-changeants? I've noticed my non-changeant has a different texture to its fabric: it feels a bit tougher, and indeed, I've never worried a bit about it and have not hesitated to wear it with abandon, with no problems at all.

These two changeants I've just bought, however, have the most wonderful lightness and softness, which feels terrific but makes me a little apprehensive. Do those of you with changeants find they wear as superbly as the regular type?

I notice no difference at all between the changeants and the regular mousselines. I thought it was just the added dimensional color. I think if anything, the changeants feel slightly lighter in weight, a bit more slippery (?) but am not certain of this. They are equally 'hardy' but delicate and have that floating quality that makes them so wonderful in the summer. And your new blue is just stunning on you calexandre! Congrats!
