Okay, first things first-- Chestnutty and others who may be interested, the poudre Axis Mundi is colorway #10. It is truly stunning. I hope someone gets it and posts pictures here so I can "visit" it occasionally to admire it!

And now, a colorway so different from the #10 that the SA couldn't believe it was the same pattern! This is really hard to photograph-- it's very bright and vivid, but it's much easier to wear than it might seem. I love fuschia and red for lipstick and dresses, but I would never wear a silk twill in those colors-- it's just too much in a large pile right next to my face. But the mousseline is so light and floaty that it really brightens my complexion, and there's so much blue in the design that I can make it work with lots of my wardrobe. I think it'll look great in winter with black, too.

The second picture is with my one other mousse, a 90cm Splendeur des Maharajas, which is one of my most treasured scarves. If anyone ever sees it for sale in other colorways, please PM me!

Wow! that is gorgeous! Love that color combo!! I have one mousse and just love how it feels when I wear it!! Congrats! Would love to see a modeling pic!

Love these mousselines. I'd love to see a shot of the Maharajas opened up. I have one also, mine is purple/grey/black. I fell in love with it when I saw it on a friend so I pounced when one came up on eBay. I hardly ever see them!

Luvbolide,I am so envious you have the purple Maharajas-- it's seriously one of my dream scarves. That colorway is just gorgeous. :cloud9: What color does your friend have-- same as yours?

I've attached my colorway opened up. I just love the sponge-paint border and the etching effect in the middle.

Bijouxlady, thank you! We had an awfully dreary day here today, so I'll have to try to get a better modeling pic for you in the future, when there'll be better light to illuminate these wonderful colors. But for now, here's a placeholder....

Thanks for sharing

Ooooh, Calexandre, that is beautiful - I've never seen one like it before! My friend also has the purple...I was there when she bought it and it kept popping up in the back of my mind. A couple of years later it popped up on eBay. I have only seen hers and mine IRL and yours in a photo - never seen any others at all! I love the effect of the color bleeding into the hem and the black/white/grey pencil drawing like effect in the center. Thanks for the photo!!

Both of these are just stunning! Thank you for taking the time to share! I bought the maharajahs 90cm silk on my honeymoon in Paris 12 years ago () and it is one of my treasured scarves! I have never seen the moussie, it is gorgeous! I love the size! Congrats!

Congratulations calexandre!!! Your fuchsia is TDF. It looks beautiful on you and gorgeous with your bag. Having seen this in real life, I know how completely special it is and I completely agree it will work all year round. Your Maharajas is also gorgeous!

Do you happen to recall whether the Axis Mundi poudre cw #10 was a changeant?

!!!

So glad we're twins on this lovely mousse! (I aspire to join you on the blue PdP as well, by the way.)

Thank you!

I didn't notice a changeant effect on the Axis Mundi #10, but I do seem to remember one of the colors listed on the tag (the moutarde, perhaps?) had one of those double names that the changeants often have listed for the color that does the changing. The scarf definitely didn't seem to me to have that wonderful mobile shimmery halo of color that the changeants have, however, so I would err on the side of NO. It is still truly beautiful, however-- one of the most delicate and richly-detailed mousses I've seen.

Stunning!

Thanks, calexandre! The poudre cw sounds lovely with or without the changeant effect, but your fuchsia is definitely magical!! I just love the details and how soft they are on the mousseline - the birds and stars are my favorite parts.
