AHHHHHH my dear PM me and perhaps we can do a mini tPFer get together. There are some dear tPFers in CHI and often I am in town~If you will be freezing maybe not a huge
walking tour for you but OAK has some of the most upscale shopping in CHI and the new Barney's is on the corner and construction is under way for the new H!
Would love to have an afternoon in the City and meet you and I am almost certain we can rope in a few more tPFers to have a bit of shopping therapy. Thanksgiving is in that timeframe so the city will be getting decorated and there will be bustle!
The weather could be anything, even snow, but more than likely windy and cold.
But charming...I promise!

As far as the weather goes, TT is right - it could be anything, but it's not likely to be really really cold by Midwest standards. But yes, it's going to be cold by Singapore standards. Probably in the 30's and windy/drizzly. But Michigan Ave will be beautiful with lights.

And you must go to Portillos - I know everyone thinks of pizza when they think of Chicago, but give me a beef sandwich, no peppers, and onion rings any time!

perigord, yup, post thanksgiving until the week before xmas. I'm really worried about freezing my butt off....

Tankertoad and Shelbygirl, I will definitely PM you as soon as I get my flights booked. Would love some company...am afraid of being cold, wet and miserable. TPF outing would make me so happy.

I'm trying to pick a date for a quick day trip to the new Chicago store. Will they have a decent selection of inventory next week, especially for Karos, coin purses, shawls and scarves? Thanks!

i believe the store opening is sometimes this week? and i passed by the new store and it was huge compared to the old one! so i assume they have many more stuffs and more decent collection :D

I will be going to Chicago and want to develop a relationship with a SA if I don't find the Kelly I am looking for. Any suggestions? Also, does the Chicago store have much in the way of stock ususally?

I have been very pleased with Mauricio d'Costa at the Chicago Hermes store. He has always been very helpful, has a good "eye", and even called me about their moving sale. My purchases in the past have been relatively small: scarves, bracelets, and shawls. I plan on going to Chicago next month and can't wait to visit the new Hermes store.

i had a lovely SA help me last week in chicago. i'd like to start a relationship with her in hopes of getting a kelly or birkin eventually. i can't recall her name though. something E-Ah? she was an older woman with bangs and brown hair. anyone know who it is? i found another bracelet i want so i'd like to contact her. thanks in advance!
