the H store in Chicago does have a lot of inventory, and the people there are really nice. In this year I know friends who bought shouder kelly and box kelly 35 when they walked in the store at the first time. I mean recently it's really hard to find kelly when you just walk in, rite???

O dear... this could be a hazardous holiday!!!!

I didn't find Chicago SAs that nice at all. Very indifferent. And that's even after I spent a lot there!

So sorry to hear that. It always bothers me when SAs act that way. Fingers crossed I get someone decent.

Hi Ladies!

I'll be visiting Chicago soon, and plan to visit the Hermes store.
Could I check what are the store opening hours and whether it's open on sat/sun? The store hours are not reflected on the H.com website.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Chicago!

The boutique here is my home store and I have been very happy with all of the SA's. The boutique hours are 10 am - 6 pm, closed on Sundays.

It is highly unlikely that you will find a Birkin on your visit. Like most boutiques, their current leather bag inventory is low. However, I wish you luck -- you never know! :smile1:

has anyone gotten a birkin as a walk in there? did you have to spend $$$ before getting one?

I was in Chicago on business and was lucky to score a birkin as a walk in and didn't spend $$ prior (at least in this boutique!). This was 2 years ago prior to the drought experienced worldwide.

I've been back to Chicago a few more times subsequently and have always had good experiences with all SAs, particularly the one who sold me my B!

I live in Nashville and the Chicago store is the closest one to my home. I've always had a great experience there. 2 years ago, I walked in and there was a beautiful shoulder Kelly on display for sale! The wonderful gentleman sales associate also offered me a birkin! This was my first experience in the store. Six months ago my husband went in on a business trip and spoke with a woman named Audra. He told her that I was looking for a Birkin in Etaine and six months later she called me with one! Since then she has been extremely helpful. Please see if she is there and she will always help you.

Thanks for sharing your experience and happy to hear you have had such good fortune with the Chicago store. With all of the expansion by H over the last several years, I'm really quite surprised they haven't opened a boutique in Nashville. Of course, the plus side is there is no sales tax on items one has shipped to Tennessee from H! That in itself is worth several trips to other boutiques.

Have you visited the store in Atlanta? It is much closer to you than the Chicago store.

Yes - I have always had bad experiences there. When I was a complete NEWBIE 7 years ago, the SA actually said to me "you need to come in and ingratiate yourself to one of us"! I was so appalled! I know that this is standard in the stores but to actually come out and say it was too much for me!

I'm so sorry - I hate it when that happens. I guess traditional southern hospitality doesn't extend to Hermes. There are some nice SAs in Dallas.
When I began my H journey, I would call Dallas because the SAs were warm, friendly, helpful and totally unpretentious.

My DBF refuses to deal with that sort of pretentiousness. Even when he is on a mission, he will walk out rather than put up with that sort of attitude. I think that men in general are less likely to play along with the snob attitudes of many of the SAs. I've tried to take that lesson as well.

That so great to hear. I will be in Dallas for a meeting next month. Is there a specific person that is nice to work with?

@Uyen - Was in Chicago and met Audra. You were right. She was super helpful and friendly. Hermes Chicago is fantastic! Unfortunately (or fortunately) they didn't have my CDC belt size but I will definitely be back.

Just saw this post, sorry to be getting back to you so late!
On my first call to Dallas I spoke with Martha. She did not have the shawl I wanted, but she did a search and located it for me. We had a long and very nice conversation and she was so warm, funny and helpful. Any time I have called she has been super nice and has always gone out of her way to help me find things. I later found out that she was the manager of the store. I've spoken with one of the male SAs - super nice, but I can't recall his name.
I've always asked for Martha and she's always been helpful. She seems to know everyone and can give you the names of great SAs and managers at just about every store in the country. It's probably been six months since I last spoke with her, but I'm sure she is still there.
