Well I made appointments twice to see my meat packing SA and despite confirming over text (the 2 appointments were about 3 months apart, I also bought scarves, jewelry, and shoes via text from my SA) the SA was simply not present during my appointment and I was with some other SA at meatpacking—both times the new SAs were apologetic that my original SA ‘was not in’.
I just felt the vibe was off.
Yes, I understand my prespend has been recalibrated to zero in Chicago but I feel over the past year I’ve spent 0.8-0.9 to 1….I’m really wanting a Constance or kelly sellier.
It’s so hard to establish a relationship when you don’t live in a city with a boutique—at least that’s my experience. I feel like every month I’m the one reaching out asking of a certain scarf, rtw, or shoe is available in my size since I want to keep my spend up to date even if I can’t make it to the boutique.
Just wanted to know if out of towners have had any luck with QBs in Chicago?
Sorry about your MP experience. That is very bizarre and I can understand why you would move on from that experience. Unfortunately for remote clients, I think H corporate has made a big push for clients shopping in store rather than remotely. They want feet in the door. Thus most coveted bag offers come from impromptu offers while a client is in the store shopping. It is more rare these days for newer lower spending clients (read less than 3x) to receive a remote offer from a cold call. I'll let other folks answer about the current bag inventory situation but I highly suggest making an in person shopping visit soon if at all possible. Good luck!

Thank you! I appreciate your insight. I definitely make an in person appointment each and every time I’m in Chicago. Hoping for one of those impromptu offers (fingers crossed)

Prespend is not static and fluctuates depending on other factors like the spend of other clients. I’m not sure this level of spend will get you where you want to go without other extenuating circumstances, for example: an SAs view that you have the potential to become a larger, more regular client; or, a customer roster that includes those who already have bags , and are not after similar ones, etc.

Agree with @acrowcounted. unfortunately, demand is such that many clients today spend
2-5X in a shorter timeframe for a coveted bag. I do know people who spend 1-2X and wait significantly longer than a year for a 28K/30B, which my SA had told me is far easier.

My experience is based at Madison (and FSH), but I believe there are sufficient similarities to urban US locations to apply. JMO of course, and ymmv

Thank you! Wow I must be totally out of the loop as I thought a 1:1 or 1:2 Prespend in a myriad of different departments was sufficient. I do love H products but that also includes their bags. At almost 6 feet and size 42 shoe size even the RTW is hit or miss in terms of sizing. I’ve purchased jewelry (gold& silver), scarves and home goods….perhaps I need to get a watch!
do you have any idea if I need to spend at a certain store AND with a particular SA or just at the store is enough. Obviously an SA would make me a potential offer but I find the Chicago SA im working with to be not very responsive in setting my appointment for next month.

You need to stick with one SA. That being said, if you do not enjoy shopping with your SA, its best to make the switch as early as possible as it is likely to negatively impact your spend. However, I do think many SAs are less responsive than desired so if that is your only issue with your SA, I'm not sure I would recommend switching.

You don’t need an appointment in Chicago. Unless you were interested in working will be very specific SA. And yes, you need to stick with one to get an offer. The store has a fairly new manager. Perhaps you can reach out to them to ask to be paired up with the sales person. They will also be the one to approve your bag offer so this might help you establish a connection

Right, so they won't know their schedule firmly until 1-2 weeks ahead of time.
In Chicago, they would know for sure four days out of five. They would know that the fifth day they may or may not be here. Overall, they should be able to schedule an appointment for an out-of-town visitor. That of course is a very general statement and a particular sales person might have something else going on.
Overall, as we often discuss, that sales person should get back to our OP with something, and not just ignore them altogether

Here is my example of Chicago interaction (to clarify). I know my DD will be in town three weeks from now and we want to look at X for her. I explain that to my SA. My SA tells me that she is not taking any days off or vacation at that time and those are her regular workdays so we will set up specific hour a bit closer to the time. Overall, I know I will have an appointment in three weeks on an X or Y day. Specifics TBD.

Thank you all! This is all very useful. I will keep you posted. It’s possible my Chicago SA was off yesterday and hasn’t checked their work phone yet. Hoping for something positive re: getting my appointment in the books for my visit in a few weeks.
In case that does hot happen. Could you let me know how I can get in touch with the manager? By calling the store and asking for them?
