As a follow up: I called the store a week and asked for Friday or Saturday appointment in a few weeks. I was asked who I wanted to work with. I provided the name of my SA. I was assured my SA would reach out to me in 24 hours. It has now been over a week. I haven’t heard from my SA. Today I sent the SA a text 8 hours ago. No response. Shall I switch SAs? Do I even have a choice?

You have a number of options. At this point, you could call and ask to speak (not text)with your SA directly. Or, you could walk in and ask for your SA. Or simply, make an advance appt with the first available (new) SA. Or, walk in and see if you like a different SA better? You are absolutely 💯 free to shop with whomever you like, at any time, for any reason. It might be possible that your Mp or Chicago SA felt they could not meet your expectations of a Constance or K sellier 28, within your timeframe and spend, but it’s useless to speculate without a conversation in person.

What I think is most likely is that they simply missed your text (they get a lot of them). Or, that they haven’t gotten back to you for reasons entirely unrelated to you (like their personal circumstances*). I would not automatically assume a missed connection is deliberate ghosting. I wish you the best of luck for your shopping trip. :smile:

ETA: *their own reasons, like health, personal or mental health issues, etc etc. who knows.

Thank you! I actually have called the appointment making number 2x. First time was a few weeks ago I was told my SA would get back to me….after I heard no reply from the text I sent, I called to make an appointment—the person on the phone told me the Chicago store doesn’t take Friday & Saturday appointments. They also told me that there was a note in the system for my SA to get in touch with me and they were confused why they hadn’t. They put in a second request.
I’m not a pushy person and I’ve never brought up wanting something from my wishlist…last time I was in Chicago I was offered a larger Evelyn by said SA but I politely declined the offer and bought my gold/diamond ring and a few rtw pieces. I was referring to the pre-spend in this forum as a means of being up to date on what the current ratio is. At this stage the number of texts I’ve sent in the past month (2x) and the phone calls I’ve made (2x) is making me feel pushy/-so I agree I should probably establish a new SA relationship. I’m so perplexed bc this SA just helped me buy boots remotely 1.5 months ago!

At least two SAs left/were asked to leave the Chicago store. It sounds like you have been talking to corporate, not the store directly. I know it is not always easy to get the store on the phone. You are getting very generic responses. I have Saturday appointments with my SA all the time, but they are made directly. In fact, I had one this past Saturday. Maybe you want to chat with the new SM, share your experience and ask for an advise? Maybe there is a newly hired SA? I am a huge fan of working with newbies for multiple reasons. Lastly, the store will be open on Sundays after Thanksgiving. it is a great day to visit.

It was a lovely black with GHW bag, however I declined it as it is not my style. I’ve a question for the group: I was also offered an evelyn in the summer (not a tpm which is the only size I would like)…..does declining these offers go against my ability to hopefully get a bag off of my wishlist?

Do they have any bags on display at this store? Also, if I don’t have an SA or any prespend, would they ever offer a TPM Evelyn? I am new to Hermes. Thanks!
I’ve been offered a larger Evelyn, but not a tpm. Honestly these days I don’t know what to expect! There are many people on social media posting about walking into stores and being offered Evelyns or mini lindy’s with no significant purchase history. Try your luck and walk in! You might walk out with just what you wanted :)

Yes. Saw one being offered back in February. It was pretty. You might already do this, but in case, periodic following up and asking/reminding when you are in store helps. Not predictable to get a call if something from wish list comes in to store.

Was offered Gold Bolide 30 mid June last year. Wasn't on my wishlist and I didn't ask to see it. I didn't inquire about other sizes since. Probably best to just mention it again in person!
