You don’t need an appointment to shop in chicago, you can just walk in. Once you find an SA you like, you can make an appointment with them directly next time but only for the purpose of them being available for you, not because you need one to enter.
That’s great to confirm, thank you! It’s a very short trip (Fri-Sun) and this will likely be a “drop in when the schedule permits” visit.

Every SA I’ve met at the Chicago store has rubbed me the wrong way. I’ve met nicer SA’s at every other store I visited.
That’s my home store and it hasn’t been the same since pre Covid. I’m considering switching stores.
Interesting feedback. That’s unfortunate, we’ll keep an eye out to see how the vibe goes. We’ve had pretty good luck (generally) with SAs in the past, but don’t have much interest to shop with SAs/stores that are not our style. I’m in no rush to start a new relationship, but this would be a bit easier (still a flight away) so it was worth considering. Thank you both - trip is in a month, but will have to come back and report how it goes.

Please do!

I’m also headed to Chicago in a couple of weeks. Have shopped at that location for over a year now (I don’t have a store in my city)…has anyone had any luck with acquiring a wishlist item?
I’m feeling quite dejected as I spent over 2 years reaching a pre-spend at the meat packing store in NYC—only to have my SA completely flake on me at a scheduled appointment.
I understand both are competitive cities but, it still is frustrating.

What happened to your relationship with Meatpacking? Your spend there wont help you in Chicago unfortunately so you'd have started over from nothing when you moved.

Well I made appointments twice to see my meat packing SA and despite confirming over text (the 2 appointments were about 3 months apart, I also bought scarves, jewelry, and shoes via text from my SA) the SA was simply not present during my appointment and I was with some other SA at meatpacking—both times the new SAs were apologetic that my original SA ‘was not in’.
I just felt the vibe was off.
Yes, I understand my prespend has been recalibrated to zero in Chicago but I feel over the past year I’ve spent 0.8-0.9 to 1….I’m really wanting a Constance or kelly sellier.
It’s so hard to establish a relationship when you don’t live in a city with a boutique—at least that’s my experience. I feel like every month I’m the one reaching out asking of a certain scarf, rtw, or shoe is available in my size since I want to keep my spend up to date even if I can’t make it to the boutique.
Just wanted to know if out of towners have had any luck with QBs in Chicago?
