Charms on your Purse?

I really like them but the LV charms are way way way too expensive for what they are! I only have a Rockflower charm; that is my first and will be my last charm. I thought about it for ages, totally lusted after it and now that I've had it for about 3 months the novelty has worn off. Yes, its cute and does dress up my bags (and gets a few comments) but am over my charm "phase" - just a waste of $$$ IMO - I guess if you've got unlimited cash to splash  charms are lovely but for the regular joe, don't go there! LOL

I like them, but most of my bags don't have hardware to attach the charms to. I like the idea of having a bag charm on the side of the purse that my cell phone is in, so I can grab it more easily. Sometimes I use a twilly scarf around a handle instead of a bag charm.

There is an old thread, Show Me Your Bag Charms, that you might want to look for.

hmm ..I know what should I do!! :D I will buy a bandeau f.ex. eugenia and use it like u: around a handle. looks so cute! :D

love them but i wont pay that price for lv charms because they are not worth it. i buy cheaper ones for my bags, like coach charms or even non designer charms. I've been wanting some juicy charms for my zipper pulls but so far have no bought any. I mostly tie a scarf in a bow on the handles of my bags for decoration.

I also like zipper pulls. Sometimes I use Swarovski charms as zipper pulls. Here's one of my faves:

I don't care for them. Reminds me too much of when I was in elementary and middle school and the "in" thing was to hang keychains from the zippers on your bookbag. As a result, bag charms look juvenile to me.

I also think that they're not particularly common where I live -- I'm not sure I've ever seen a charm on someone's purse that I've noticed.

I like them in general, but for the LV price I'd rather have a ZCP or Pochette. Even for the Coach price I'd rather have a Mini Skinny or Wristlet than spend the money on a charm.

I have one from an old Jeanne Lottie bag (silver Kelly-style purse on a chain) that I use on all my bags just for fun. Actually I bought a vintage Jeanne Lottie bag and then thought it looked too worn out to use, so I kept the charm and gave the bag itself to charity!
