i usually do not like charms on purses, but there are one or two charms that i love and i'll hang them if it goes with some colour on my outfit.
and my mood. sometimes when i am in a severe no-nonsense mood, just looking at the charms irritate the hell out of me

Do any of y'all like and use purse charms? If so, what kind do you use? I'm looking forward to reading some replies because I do love purse charms. I'm a hardware lover, and purse charms help satisfy that love!

I love purse charms! They add fun to all my bags.
I am not ready to spend hundreds of euros on them, though.
I buy mine at my local market.
If I had lots of money..... I would get one of those cute Fendi monsters...😃

I love purse charms, too! I recently bought a fur keychain from Rebecca Minkoff for just $25. I'm normally against real fur, but I couldn't resist this charm. I love it. I also ordered a bag to go with it, but I ended up returning it because it was ugly. I do have it attached to my backpack currently. The charm doesn't go with the bag but that's okay.

Here's the fur keychain:

I also have this Juicy Couture taxi charm which I bought I think, 1-2 years ago. I have it attached to my Kate Spade tote.

Here's the handbags and purses charms thread

Lots of eye candy on there!

I think charms suit some people and some bags but I'm not obsessed.

I don't wear charms on most of my bag, I'm a strategic charm user. Bags that come with charms like tassels or swing tags I leave on, then there are the bags that can change their personality with a charm, from sombre and serious transformed to 'fun' so quickly.

I like one charm on a bag, but it depends on the bag. Some people, however, put several, and the bag ends up looking cluttered and cheap. I want one of those fur tails, but the one I like is $125. I'd rather put in an extra $20 and get the Gucci card case that I want.

If I add one, it's typically a mini purse, like my avatar. I just keep collecting mini purse after mini purse, but I love them. I have to use one that coordinates colors and hardware.

I love bag charms but just on certain bags. If the bag is busy to begin with...no bag charm.
I had to add some pizzazz to my MG bucket so I used my Mulberry Aquarius charm with a splash (literally) of bright blue. I get more compliments on the charm then the bag. LOL!

I like my hanbags naked so to speak, so no charms for me. Having said that I think it depends on the style of bag you like, there are are some great examples here. ( like the yellow car charm that works a treat with the bag above) I don't like huge charms such as entire fury animals and the like, attached on perfectly nice bags. I think that trend ridiculous.

Agreed.

It seems that charms are undergoing a revival ATM. In fact as the 'it' bag craze had died (yay!) the 'it' charm has taken its place.
