Charlie Sheen posed for a pic just before he began his infamous party binge ... in the very house he planned on turning into his "porn family" home ... and TMZ has obtained the photo.

The photo was taken a week ago, on Tuesday evening, at the home of George Santo Pietro -- Vanna White's ex. During their dinner Sheen decided to rent George's estate for $250k per month ... a place to create his "porn family." Charlie's people killed the deal several days later.

Charlie -- who is totally chill -- left George's pad for his own home several hours later, and the 36-hour party began.

It's unclear what the red marks are on Charlie's hands, neck and eyes.

He looks like he's knocking on death's door.....the network execs should pull the plug on his show till he cleans himself up.....*sigh* nvm....

I feel sorry for the crew and staff that work on his show. They are making modest salaries and have to depend on self-destructive Charlie not to blow it all and put them out of jobs.

and his eyes are red. I'm no expert, but he looks drunk

He looks more than drunk to me. I'm guessing it was probably the briefcase full of blow that are behind that appearance.

his disease is in complete control right now. I shudder to think what his rock bottom is going to be because he hasn't really had it yet. his rock bottom might be death. I hope not. I don't wish death on anyone.

This!

the man is sick. he has an illness that is working on killing him. no one wants to be an addict. hate the disease. not the person.

He and Lindsay get to much sympathy. I've worked at DEA, so if I don't feel for his 'illness' then so be it. The low income/inner city addicts don't get any of the 'sympathy' and support that these two do. Their a$$es just get thrown in jail for 20 yrs, which is what they should have done for Carlos a long time ago.

But then again, money talks and he won't stop until he's dead like the other Celebrity's who are not forced to be accountable for their actions.

Compassion is what alcoholics/addicts deserve. All of them. Rich or poor, celebs or non-celebs. Just because the guy who gets sent to prison doesn't get "public" sympathy doesn't mean he/she does not receive sympathy from legions of people in recovery who reach out to them in or out of prison. There is an army of people who are willing to help anyone who has this disease and are always at work to make sure every addict knows there is help out there. Too much sympathy is a relevant term. I think its more concern - at least from the people who truly care for people in trouble.

Bottom line is that he is a sick person and needs help. It doesn't really seem like he has ever been held accountable for his actions and has been able to get away with some very questionable things. Drug addict or not, he is an adult and needs to be held accountable for his actions.

as far as the domestic violence and having a suitcase full of drugs goes, I totally agree. He could use some hard prison time. Worked for Robert Downey Jr.
It just really bothers me when people demonize someone who is very ill with the disease of addiction itself as if it is something they can control without a hardcore program in place that they surrender to. And complete surrender doesn't come before getting sober. Getting sober is only the start of a long hard road. Staying sober is the *****.

^^^ Well Bagnshoe, we know where he'd be attending AA meetings.

Exactly!! Doesn't the show have an insurance policy to cover such a situation?

Since its CBS they are probably self insured.

Since he has a history of this kind of behavior, it would be hard to get insurance on him. And now it would be impossible.

Contrary to what people think, getting insurance on celebrities is not guaranteed. They had a hard time insuring Marilyne Monroe & she died almost 50 years ago.
