I've read interviews with Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez where they both seem genuinely mystified about why Charlie is the way he is. They obviously still love him but they don't understand him and it shows how kids can be raised in the same home and turn out very differently.

Charlie is a jerk and a bully, a bad combination. It wouldn't surprise me if he saw Corey Haim as a trusting, almost hero-worshiping, kid and he wanted to see just how far he could make him go.

I feel like Judy has been paid off. She denies everything yet has also said she knew something was going on when he was really young... What kind of mom lets that feeling just go away?. Oh, right..the one that wants her son to make it big and support her.

I don’t think she was paid off, I think she is just trying to save face because she either a)traded his innocence for money and knew Hollywood was dangerous or b)left him to make money with people she thought were trustworthy and never paid enough attention to see something was wrong. Either way it doesn’t make her out to be the best mom.

Scum bag Charlie is “poor” with less than 10 million to his name has failed to pay his gardeners and pool cleaners. Is now looking to lower his child support payments for both of his ex wives. This might be why Denise is joining real housewives because she’ll need a steady paycheck. Honestly I’m surprised that he has any money left at this point.

When a person, especially a male, comes forward about sexual abuse as a child--I believe it. And I am devastated that a child, although now deceased, can have a parent who claims it didn't happen because "they would have known." ALL my cases involving child sexual abuse were delayed reports. No one knew anything. Children are bribed, threatened, and groomed to act like everything is normal--plus these were gifted actors to begin with. Of course she didn't know anything. This whole story breaks my heart.

Neighbors can be weirdos.

Years ago, I was aggressively harassed by a neighbor who lived across the street from me. It took a letter from an attorney to make her stop.

Prior to that I was stalked by a man who lived in the same apartment complex. He would show up at my door or follow me to my car. I had to move to make that stop.

So I really do feel for Charlie here. He’s just trying to quietly live his life. This was probably pretty traumatic. Moving isn’t always an option and shouldn’t be something you have to do to avoid harassment.

having to move is pretty extreme
I sold my condo to get away from the neighbor who rented her unit
