I would have watched 50 shades, even as horrible as it was, with Charlie Hunnan. Now as for pacific rim, even with him in it, NO unless, they let him grow his beard.
Why will you NOT watch it even with Charlie in it? Well, yes, of course, he needs to grow the beard back before we go to see him again but ..aside from that...why?

Chloe, I am sure that I will like it since Charlie is in it, but I just read the critique on my comp that said something to the effect of "wonder what Tom (Huddleston ??) will do on his next picture since this movie has been a flop." I try to judge for myself whether or not I like a movie. I realize that these things mean something to the actors, but don't think that anyone else can be the judge of what the majority of people will like. Guess they look for things that I don't.
I don't think either of them, Charlie or Tim really care. They got paid.

I feel like Charlie would have made some creative enhancements to 50, though. He's pretty involved and I think that was part of the issue he had with it, was it not? That he wanted to have some input, and STJ wasn't for it. I could be making things up...

I wasn't a fan of Pacific Rim, but I don't generally care for those types of films to begin with, so my opinion is null. I really enjoyed Crimson Peak however, and I'm not usually one to enjoy those films either. I liked his character and how he was polite and respectful until the end; clearly had feelings for the girl, but wasn't pushy, but still remained there for her!

I was really sad to hear he said he likely wouldn't do comedy again, that he didn't enjoy it. I really liked Charlie Goes Boom and thought he was great.I also really enjoyed Undeclared. But I can understand that comedy is considerably harder to perform. Terrible comparison, but I know when I did drama in school, even though I enjoy comedies myself and am a humorous person, it was my least favourite unit of the course.

In 50 shades of Grey he said it was simply schedule overload. He had just finish SOA and felt he did not have enough time to prepare for the character as he wished. It was all an overload because he had to fill Crimson Peak right after 50 too. So he picked one movie to do.

I am sure that fans aren't aware of everything that goes on that determines whether an actor does a film. Some writers of articles about a film make up what they want to say if it sounds good and is a different uptake.

This is what he said himself in interviews. There could be other reasons but I can give the one he has said and repeated multiple times.

I was sad to hear and then see this article. I think Charlie would have done role well.

I hope he'll consider other roles along a similar vein.

Maybe the 50 Shades... was unpopular, but I liked it and thought the guy did a good job. I am sure that Charlie would have done well even though he physically didn't fit the description in the book.
