What? I am sure that the person (reviewer maybe) expected that some frightening or scary thing was going to pop up since that is the way it has been advertised. Don't know what the movie is like, but, as I said before, I have preordered it.The movie wasn't made, I don't think, with the idea that you should see women as they were in that time frame, but made for current viewers to enjoy.

I just meant the portrayals were accurate. Some people find the distraction of such potential inaccuracy annoying. Hunnam's character was so thoroughly acting like a doctor and raised to be a gentleman, it was believable how he lost the favor of the woman he loved (in previews and articles already). It's an enjoyable film, regardless.

Charlie Hunnam is favorite of millions of people. His acting has impressed huge number of fans. Sons of Anarchy is the one Tv series I watched till the last year in which its season finale was aired. He was made president in that season. He wore a leather vest with patches. For more information regarding his outfit visit my site. Click here.

Well I saw it and thought the movie was great! I thought the acting was good and yeah you're right, for what they gave Charlie to do, he did well. He played someone who really didn't have a lot of inner conflict so there's not as much meat to the role but it played well.

Also, I saw the previews for the DiCaprio movie and think that Charlie and Leo should do a movie together. They could play brothers or something. There was something about all the ruggedness and maybe because of his 'Mountain' movie which is somewhat similar that made me think those two should do a movie together in the future.

This movie wasn't about surprising people. It was about the artistry. It was more shocking in the beginning. By the end one was simply invested in the characters.

I assume the "weak" female character was Mia's. Rather than imposing modern feminist interpretations of empowered women over these historical characters (and create an ahistorical reality), the characters on this film seem very true to their time and their circumstances, no matter how much the viewer wanted a character to see a different solution or step to take. Frustrating at times, but accurate.

I think it might have been misleading to some people who didn't see this as a 'Horror' film even though it was placed in that category. GDT said it was more of a Gothic Romance which I thought it was and paid homage to the 1930's type films of that genre. The set designs and costumes are Oscar worthy.

One article stated that this was the movie role that Charlie gave up 50 Shades for. Being that Charlie never got to see the final cut of C.P. I wonder what he will think if and when he sees the final cut of the movie.

With Charlie being as talented as he is, sometimes I don't really see why he opts to do some of
the roles that he does. I am sure that Charley knows what he is doing, but I really don't understand
his decisions. I am sure he will do the roles well, but, to me, he is choosing things I don't understand.

Good luck, Charlie in whatever you do.

^ Didn't he do the movie because he made a promise to the director? or something like that...

I didn't know he's in Lost city of Z... very cool. Hunnam isn't my favourite actor but I'll definitely see him in that movie.

Sometimes being in a string of unsuccessful or poorly reviewed movies can turn out to be a good thing in the long run. Similarly being in a string of highly successful movies can be detrimental to your long term career.

IMO his acting leaves room for improvement but he has potential he has yet to capitalise on. Let's see what he does with the opportunities he gets given and see where he is in a few years.

I'm excited for the Lost City movie, it's an interesting story, it was developed by Brad Pitt's company and the attached director is good.

Well even though it wasnt seen as a horror, critically it was very well received. The director said it was a gothic romance which it was. The movie did well and he was said to do well in it so it wasnt a bad movie choice.

Some of his movie choices may have been influenced by circumstances outside of himself though.

Well from his interviews he chose this role. When he did Pacific Rim the director offered to do more movies with him then this part came up. He left 50 shades of Grey because he couldn't fully concentrate on both roles and had to choose. So from my perspective this was very much a movie he himself wanted to do. As he said it was very different most roles he has done because he didn't play the hard badass who got the girl.

Chloe, I am sure that I will like it since Charlie is in it, but I just read the critique on my comp that said something to the effect of "wonder what Tom (Huddleston ??) will do on his next picture since this movie has been a flop." I try to judge for myself whether or not I like a movie. I realize that these things mean something to the actors, but don't think that anyone else can be the judge of what the majority of people will like. Guess they look for things that I don't.
