Went to the C boutique today and these these two caught my eyes. I love the Pink but it is in lambskin (I am concerned about its durability). The black caviar is a Classic and you cant never go wrong with that. I cant decide and so found this thread and asking your opinions TIA.

I love that pink! I have the exact black combo you show there and I love it. I actually use my bag quite often to run errand these days. I’m not thrilled with the wear, quite honestly. My bag showed corner wear pretty quickly with little use and no over stuffing. Perhaps that’s the way it is, but I had higher expectations for Chanel. Still, I love mine and do recommend the WOC.
My only lamb skin bag is my Lady Dior. It’s gorgeous and supple but I barely carry it so I can’t really speak to the wear. I think if you plan to use this bag often, the caviar is the better choice.

i think @img nailed it - if you plan to use it a lot, go for the black caviar. But if it’s just going to be an occasional piece, I absolutely would go with the pink one! (Is that yellow lining???). As for the wear and tear - if you plan to use the bag frequently, you will probably suffer some wear regardless of the leather. It seems counterintuitive but I think the size of the WOC is right at the sweet spot for increased wear…it’s so light that i find that it gets flung around a lot more than my larger bags (ex: if you lean forward, it often flies forward with you, potentially hitting something), yet it’s still large enough that the sides can protrude and get dinged up. I find when I’m carrying a larger bag I’m more aware of the bag, if that makes sense, so I tend to be much more careful with it.

Another more thing to consider is which one best fills a hole in your collection. If you already have one or more petite black bags, all the more reason to pick the pink. But if you have a suite of pink bags in your current collection, the black one would make more sense. Whatever you pick, I’m sure you will love it for years to come.

I'm not sure if it's just different quality leather/production but my black caviar WOC (purchased early 2021 I think) has taken an absolute beating and still looks almost new. The leather has softened a bit but I'm quite impressed with the durability. I also am okay with some wear on my bags so it might be that I don't have quite as discerning of an eye, but I would not hesitate to get another!

I have had my black patent WOC for 10 years and I love it. It is my bag that I take to special occasions due to the shine. It is easy to pack and perfect for travel. Is it worth it now? Not sure, but it was worth it back when I bought it and the price was $1,700.

I have an iridescent beige woc from 19s which is stunning and I own the classic black caviar woc with ghw. I sold the classic black woc but then repurchased it because it was so beautiful and useful. My vote is for the black woc...you’ll use it more frequently and your cost per wear will be lower.

Hi,
I just purchased this WOC on Vestiaire and at first fell in love with it. Under closer examination, unfortunately, I saw found some faulty stitching on it, now Im wondering if I should keep it. Would appreciate some help to decide... I paid retail price for it... Is this common for WOCs nowadays? Also the stichting doesnt 100% match on the back...Image from iOS (32).jpgImage from iOS (30).jpgImage from iOS (31).jpg

You paid retail price - I would return it.

My thoughts exactly. Unfortunately, Vestiare doesnt see a problem in selling this under "unworn" condition. But lets see, Id still want to return it.
Pardon if I am too direct but it is very insolent from the seller to sell such an item to someone. At least the seller could have go a bit down with the price. Some people are using the situation that the items are hard to get and I think this is not correct and they should ban at least the seller.
I wish for you that you can solve this issue.

Just clairfying. Which holds more the WOC or rectangular mini? And are both able to be worn crossbody? Thanks.
Rectangular mini holds more because of its greater depth. Both can be worn crossbody, but rectangular mini has shorter chain length than woc and most people find it to be a good crossbody length. The WOC chain has to be either shortened with a strap, a ribbon , some floss or wrapped around the flap to be an ideal crossbody length for a Woman of average height. I recently sold my mini rectangular because I find the woc more easy to wear, but many prefer the extra space that the mini offers. You can fit a small wallet or cardholder instead of having to stick your cards in the slots of the woc.
