Chanel WOC- is it worth it?

Thanks for this! We're about the same height.

I tried picturing how long it would be given the dimensions and the edge of the wallet will land mid-thigh when I used a measuring tape. I'm just thinking maybe it's going to dangle around and would be a hassle in the end, especially at a party.
An option to consider - although not for everyone - is to have the strap shortened. I’m 5’2 and the length of the chain was just way too long on me. As a result, I used to not reach for it much. While I appreciate that the WOC can be worn multiple ways, IMHO the most practical way of wearing it is on one shoulder or crossbody. Looping the chains around for a shoulder bag is fine, until you have to open the bag and realize you have to hold on to it to keep the chains from unraveling! It got annoying after a while.

I tried using a clip to shorten the chain but it left a faint mark on the leather :( A couple of months ago, I decided to take the plunge and get the strap shortened by Leather Surgeons. Since then, I’ve been reaching for my WOC a lot more, traveling with it etc. It was a small fix but completely transformed my use of the bag!

After answering your question, I played with my WOC again. I like it when it hits my hip bone crossbody, but had to lower it just a tad more, otherwise it sticks out and bumps into things (whereas YSL Mini Lou doesn't have this problem).

So all in all, I think I shortened the strap using a shortener by 1.5 inches. I think the WOC is made for taller women.

For instance when worn crossbody, I like the length on Jennifer Garner, but I don't like the length on Eva Longoria (?). It hits her in the v area and makes her look even shorter. I hope I'm explaining myself well.:P

That's great! thanks for the insight. Taking notes before I take the plunge and would have to ask first if such leather services are available in my country. The clip is an option, but I always get a wee bit stressed if I see dents on the leather.

Appreciate the pictures! I didn't realize Jennifer Garner was 5'8 and the fall is perfect on her.

Clips were beginning to leave dents on my WOC so now I have it tied up with a black thread on the inside, you can't even tell from the outside. Stays put if you go through multiple times. I'm only 5ft tall so this helps me a ton. :)

At 5’4” this is where the WOC falls on me. If you’re petite it would definitely fall further down. IMG_2576.jpeg
