Thanks for the reply .. I thought they were$800 .. I just ordered from neiman and was charged for $850 .. I wonder if they sent me a different version or something.. need to investigate .. i bet it will definitely be $850 by 11/3.
I think shoes went up in Oct. It was in the Price Increase thread - espadrilles, slingbacks, ballet flats, etc. My NM SA said jewelry went up already as well.

Still locked down? Oh my where are you?? Our ban was lifted some time ago here in CA

Well, sort of. It’s outrageous here in the Philippines and there’s a lot of restrictions. All is well now and I have used the shoe for the first time! Haha

Congratulations to you! They are beautiful! I have a lot of ballets, and I do not put sole protectors on them. I think it ruins the look of the feminine ballet. I would just wear them and enjoy them.

If these are your first ballets, I also want to mention a tip... don't mess with the bow. If they get loose which is rare, just pull it tight again, but do not un-tie it. I have tons of ballets, and the bow loosened on one of them. I was not thinking and un-tied the bow thinking I could just tie it up again. Wrong! You will never be able to recreate that bow and how it sits flat and perfectly straight.

Other than that, the ballet is my favorite of shoe... they are so comfy and I can walk miles in them.
Congrats to you again!

Oh my, I have to be careful with the bow! I did end up putting a clear protector underneath the flats because of the pandemic protocols (establishments here put up sanitizing alcohol? mats which can damage the underside of the shoe). They are so comfy! I am afraid I might want more.

How’s the sizing on the quilted ones? Asking for a friend.

Also, what do you use to clean the lambskin? Is the Collonil brand okay to use?

Congrats on your new ballets! They are so comfy, I can and have walked in them all day, walking on hard concrete city streets! No problem at all!

I wear the same size in the quilted ones. I like them okay, but they are not favorite to be frank. They seem to make my feet look 'puffier" due to the stitching and something about them to me makes them look a bit cheap, not so elegant. I just love the elegance of the lambskin with a capped toe. After all, a ballet is an elegant, slim, feminine look. Puffy kind of ruins it a bit for me. It changes the look. For me, I would only get quilted if I really loved the seasonal color. I have quilted in a few colors... white (I buy anything in white), navy (never wear them), black patent (never wear).

Said another way, if beige or black came in smooth lambskin or quilted, hands down, I would buy lambksin.

On cleaning, I don't use any chemical product. Every now and then I take a damp cloth (damped with water only) and gently wipe of the grime. Works great for me. If you must clean, every now and then is okay, but don't over buff, over clean, over anything. People don't understand, but everytime you rub, you are actually taking off a thin thin layer of leather. It's not a big deal occasionally, but I have read some ladies go nuts and clean and rub their shoes after every wear. Then they wonder why their leather is getting wrinkly or thin. It's too much in my opinion, but I know everyone is different when it comes to preferences.

I know you will love your ballets! I have been wearing them for years... they are my favorite style shoe! A classic!
If you don't have the white pair, I highly recommend it. I wear my white pairs to death in the summer!

Congrats again.

I’m gonna browse through this thread and gaze at the pictures. I wish I could join the club, but I’m pretty sure my shoe size EU 43 / US 10 don’t run in any chanel shoe line except for the men? I hope to get my hands on the two toned classic chanel flats. I recall seeing a picture of Aubrey Hepburn in chanel flats and we all know how big hers were. Big feet users please reply and give me your thoughts?

I read a while ago that Paris Hilton is a size US 11, and she buys Chanel. You could call customer service and ask and see they carry size 10 and what store. The classic ballet flats are gorgeous. I love them and I am sure you will too. Good luck to you!
