Agree with
@chanellover333 and
@skybluesky . I dislike BV rtw which was sad for me bc my first Chanel SA from 2001 ended up a regional manager there.
But, WWD reported that Chanel is interviewing a lot including Pieter Mulier, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Jeremy Scott and Marc Jacobs… from all those, I wonder if MB has the best rounded background. I mean Chanel DNA won’t be ignored, and VV was criticized for not being innovative enough. (I happened to like VV ) MB was a disciple of raf Simons and also has an impressive resume including alaia. So, his ironic aesthetic at BV could also be part of his brief there.

A pic from BV 2024 I think from Financisl Times. I can see this translated into an update of the Chanel archive. So even if I am not personally fond of MB to date, I will look forward to his collections. And, of course, Chanel does have a strong in house design team

ETA:
I’m not a fan of Marc Jacob’s (mainly bc I remember his days at LV where I thought his silhouettes were Chanel inspired snd ended up reminding of Tory Burch, with LV monogram… but my recollection could be off
ETA:
I’m ignoring the fact that MB is associated with this below (pretending it just doesn’t exist lol). This kind of furnishing was definitely not at design Miami in Paris at ones of KL’s homes
