I ended up getting the three pairs of pants in the middle of the rack. One of them is the red, black, snd white micro sequined pant (that goes with a long line vest that I already own); two boucle pants both bell bottomed (but bc I’m 5’2”, shortening will remove most of the bell shape )

My mom got two cropped cashmere cardigans (red and purple with two stripes on the forearms); three cashmere dresses (one that looks like the red cardigan; a retro print, pink and brown, sleeveless dress; and one other.

She also got a one black and white dress that looks like courreges; the leopard print cashmere pullover; black jeans appliquéd with leather camellias; and three pairs of shoes.

Apologies, I didn’t have time or the space to take reference # or prices
action pics, and everything is in alterations (sale alter estimate is 12 weeks)

But, I tried to include the pics of the different textiles in the pics below which show some of our purchases

This size 40 dress on me is too big; my SA found my size 36;* and then my mom decided she wanted it (we’re the same size) so she got it lol

*sale was hectic enough that we passed rejects out and they were immediately run back upstairs. Also, my SA asked DH to watch our pile to safeguard it from being poached. By the time we were done, it was really crazy busy . I don’t know if there were any sale jackets or coats.

that purple and blue dress i regret not buying in switzerland. loved that but was nervous about the sizing. love everything in your pile :smile:

My mom was also nervous about sizing and is having two dresses, size 36, reblocked to fit a bit better around the hips.

@BreezyE , yeah, 12 weeks is the official quote for wait time for sale alterations

It’s very possible that one’s SA can finagle a shorter time, but I’m thinking I might just have Chanel send over my pants,* so I can take to my third party professional tailor

@Brooklynite , it’s funny how brands cycle in and out for individuals. For me, Chanel pants and knits work, but nothing Dior has for some time. But, my mom, who never liked Dior, just bought two classic jackets (one Bar ) and a skirt and pants at the Dior sale yesterday… Celine, sadly no:sad:

ETA: * when this collection first came out, I was obsessed with the orange jacket and pants. (First pic, right side) It reminded me of the orange and brown bolduc au carre csgm which I loved (that did not love me back lol). DH felt the print was too retro, so I passed.

At sale, the orange held no appeal. But now, I’m actually super excited about the green window pane (second pic, left side). At full price, I didn’t even notice it, but now, I can see how I will live in these pants :smile: I can both wear them seriously with a tailored shirt or with a t shirt and moto boots or sneakers: luxe thrift store chic lol

Congrats 880! That’s a very successful sale!
I love all the pants you chose and so great that your mom found nice things!
I think we are twins on the red cardigan with her!
The sales in Vienna were quite good too. I got some things and I’ll post after I finish unpacking.

This was my favorite jacket from the show too! It looked very wearable to me, wearable being a relative term considering it's white and I drink several cups of coffee a day lol.

I thought the show was so beautiful and dramatic! I think all the pieces will be out of budget for me. Most of it was not my normal style but I loved, loved, loved the aesthetic. Show was so dramatic and I was glad none of the models fell off the walk LOL. Liu Wen (finally looked up her name) opened the show and she was perfect! I remember seeing her in previous shows.

Surely this is her own hand, the MdA probably takes a the whole year to plan and she was actually involved at the start of it, and they just had to finish it off.
