Hi all, I have a question about alternation. I bought a few pieces remotely from last week sale. I need to shorten the sleeves and also let one dress out because it is a bit tight. Since I didn’t buy from the boutique that I want to go for alternation, will they still free of charge? Thanks.

I think there is a charge for items bought on sale anyway, but boutique policy depends on country and also client profile. Best to bring the items in and ask, even better if it is with your own SA.

Yes, it should be free, on a case by case basis, depending on location. If possible, have your SA facilitate/coordinate an appt with the on site tailor. I was told 12 weeks for simple hems though, so I’m thinking about using my third party professional instead (the in store tailor pinned the items but I’m sure would be happy to get them to me if it meant lightening their workload lol.

What on earth!
I had one jacket take 8 weeks (and it was a whole ordeal) but other than that, all my other pieces, including hefty alterations on tweed jackets, were 3-5 business days …on site tailor
