Only the upper 3 buttons on the black are functional, only 5 on the cream one are functional, basically only the top of the jacket could be buttoned. The lower buttons are just there.
Gosh ! Thanks for letting us know. I sort of saw those jackets as Saint Laurent had on their runway when hedi slimane started with them. They are pretty

Need everyone's advice here on Chanel t-shirts. I've pretty much avoided them because I thought I could do with something that would work but would be less expensive and so far have been successful. I also fear ruining them (kind of like white cotton shirts). But now I'm contemplating the black dove one from cruise.
Do you buy Chanel t-shirts and even with the current price increases? Other brands? Hermes? Dior? Do you buy KL graphic t-shirts? I have no judgement on what you choose to do---would just like your thoughts! Thank you in advance!

I saw the black jacket the other day and on that one, there were lower button holes stitched in but closed. I wonder if one could open them.
I guess it's one thing to open them and it's another to actually use them. in Balenciaga FW2007, those school boy blazers have buttons but the very best you can do is to close the middle button because of the narrow cut

I'm too cheap to pay $2k for something I will throw in the washer weekly (if not more frequent due to my messy toddler boy). Yes I buy KL tshirts and I found them very good quality. Even the basic jcrew tshirts work.

Another thing is my makeup. When I put on and take off I always get my make up on the collars. It drives me crazy.

Hi! I bought this lovely jacket after seeing @pigleto’s try on photos- I really love this jacket ❤
It’s true to size or slightly small (not oversized) I took 38 (but in the cropped black pink F/W 2021 jacket I took a 36)
Would never tuck this pants in as shown - the fit is flattering IMO - very comfortable with a slightly nipped waist. This was a hard to find piece as they didn’t make many- so you are lucky to have located one- here are some photos:
First 2 are my try on.
Then some random photos I kept in my files of the jacket
There is a beautiful matching bag in the same fabric but I thought it too delicate for my lifestyle
I think you could wear this any way you want
It’s not heavy
The fabric is really lovely
i absolutely agree with @TankerToad ... the jacket is relatively lightweight, fits TTS and it's incredibly flattering.
one thing i wasn't expecting is the trim around the collar and pockets ... it's metallic thread, almost like tinsel LOL at first i felt a little "festive" but then i grew to love it. in fact, i think the metallic accents make the jacket really special !!!
so yes, if you can still get your hands on this jacket, i say jump!

Re buttons. Wanted to use a couple of Balenciaga pics to demonstrate:
I think the point is to create a high waist silhouette and create a peek-a-boo effect on the layer below.
I don't mind it (assuming there are button holes even if we can't use them)

The Penélope look is a bit too uptight...if she left the bottom buttons open it would be a more relaxed look IMHO.
