I received my dove cardigan but it’s going back. I didn’t like the fit so I didn’t even bother taking a pic, plus I found it scratchy. The buttons were a disappointment too.View attachment 5246972
Maybe she was going for a distressed shabby chic effect but the painted over button just seems cheap to me. I was able to try @kipp ’s beautiful jacket but it was too small (34)and also @911snowball ’s pink jacket which was too big (38)View attachment 5246974View attachment 5246975
This is from luxe departments on Instagram. Does anyone have mod pix? I tried it on in a large size but my size is coming soon hopefully. It’s about the same price as my metiers jacket but without all the details so I’m not sure if I can justify the price. View attachment 5246976
I think you totally rocked that pink jacket!

I’ve never bought a Chanel t shirt - largely because I’m not a T shirt person and because the jackets/ cardigans are often statement pieces so don’t need a fussy t shirt. I saw this one recently though which I liked and was pleasantly surprised that the fabric was really good quality (heavy) and with the price would last very well.View attachment 5246933

I have a couple of t shirts and I think the quality is really nice. I don't see myself buying a lot of them. There really aren't that many around where I shop. I have one that says Chanel on it but the other one has the logo in the design, and I don't think anyone who didn't know it would even realize what it was.

Thanks @pigleto972001! Not the doves but the sleeves themselves were rough. I don’t know what’s wrong with my skin, sometimes their cashmere is soft like the alien cardi but a lot of times scratchy. I tried the the black with white trim long cardi which was scratchier than the shorter white with black trim version. Both ran true to size I feel if anyone is wondering. That’s a good point about the buttons too! I can see that now that you mentioned it.

You are like me. Even cashmere can sometimes itch. If it bothers me at all, I don't want to wear it.

I am glad you posted this. I have the tweed jacket on hold. I think I am going to pass. I like it a lot but I think for the $$, I can find something I like better. We are going to Miami in a couple of weeks so I want to hold off. I am still deciding about the black jacket. It's beautiful but we live in SWFL and I am not sure I will get use out of it.

Everyone is always so helpful on here so I wanted to share my try on pics from Dubai. Loved so many pieces from the collection but they didn’t have my size. I hope I can snag some pieces in London this weekend.
In particular I loved the look 4 jacket (with white trim) and the white cardigan.
Yes I agree the black jacket with white trim is a standout piece - seems to flatter hugely in all the mod pics I have seen. hope you find it in London! At least you have a few options with stores to go to too!

I am planing to get that black one with white trim too. How was weight on heavy side or light?
It looks right size on you and very pretty. Was it tight on shoulders?

Thanks @De sac @monkyjib and @Allisonfaye ! You’re all very sweet!

Which tweed jacket? Before passing, try it anyway because you just never know! Now I try everything my SA offers because it’s helped me figure out what I do and don’t want and I need to be realistic and selective with these rising prices.

Thank you! I did manage to snag it from my SA in London in size 36. She told me many things are sold out already! And it's not even launched yet.

It was definitely on the light side which is perfect. I can wear it year round. It's a silk blend material. The shoulders are a bit big but I have relatively broad shoulders for my frame (I'm 5'3 105 lb). I usually wear 34/36 and this one was a 38. I ended up going with a 36, no alterations needed.

Hello Chanel friends! Such an exciting time with pictures of new item try-ons! Wanted to check in on the jacket discussion- so happy to get your feedback ari. Regarding the white jacket from last year, I have it as well and agree that the trim/sleeves (VERY bulky) was of concern when I first saw the jacket. But I loved the classic design and the black and white color combo. I altered it a great deal on the sleeves to assure I would be comfortable when on the computer etc. I was so scared the white sleeves would get ruined in ordinary day to day tasks so I made them shorter as well as taking out all the bulk in the shoulder. This helped me turn the jacket into a super wearable almost cardigan like piece that I slip on now over just about anything- great over printed dresses, knit pieces even just a simple cashmere shell and pants (thumbs up for Agnona also by the way- love their cashmere basics!) The pic below (sorry so small, not sure how I did that) is after alterations. Please forgive the outfit I had worn another jacket to work but slipped on the white jacket to post this comment. I am sure this is not how VV wanted this jacket to look but it works for me and I wear it all the time. NOVb.JPG

On the new pink/black tweed jacket, it is definitely longer than the white one above. Sleeve length is also super important here as well.
Chanel gives us somewhat conflicting views on sleeve length (the runway shotPink jacket b.JPGpink jacket c.JPG on the left shows a much different look than the shot from the internal sales pics. For me, I will shorten them to the wristbone as on the pic on the right.

I had tried the pumpkin long cashmere cardigan from fall but decided on this shorter version instead. Wearing it casually here but I wanted to show you a close up of the beautiful buttons! This sweater has super soft, a wonderful quality of cashmere and it fit perfectly without any alterations !! I thought I would get more wear out of the shorter style.

ari, this is the pic of the white cardigan I am getting from Cruise. It looks SO MUCH better in the body than on the hangar ,( I found this pic elsewhere on the forum so credit to the original poster). I would really appreciate your input on styling this , what pieces from the collection would you select for it? It is so soft and comfortable and I would encourage anyone who is interested to try it- there are several styles to choose from in this knit. NOVa.JPGCruise white sweater.JPG
