I tried the tunic on - the only size was a 48. It was really nice !! I liked the details on it .

Tried it today - runs really big !
Here’s a photo- was looking at this bag too (bought a different bag) but you can see it goes up just above my knee and sleeves went to my finger tips (and I have long arms !) for reference I’m just shy of 5’8” and wear a 36 or 38 on Chanel
This was a 38.
The black silk fabric is lush and there are tiny tone on tone CCs Patterned in the silk , white French cuffs with buttons - it’s on the formal side - too dressy for work IMO
I’d say size down if you are ordering it

I recall that Nicolas Ghesquiere did a renaissance collection for Balenciaga SS2006. Back then Balenciaga was very hot, and the only way to secure a jacket or a hot item was to show up at their trunk show and pre-order with a 50% deposit. In that collection, there was a rock & roll tank top which came in two versions. The fancy version had pearls and other embroideries all around. It was so special. ("Devils in Balenciaga" was printed on it) I think it was retailed for $1,500 or so. It was probably the first 4-digit tank top back then and you could see everyone's face when they saw the price tag (the radzmir jackets were high $2k with silk inside and out and hand painted buttons). Regardless, your comment just brought back my fond memories...

Talking which, does Chanel still do trunk shows or lunches nowadays? I went through a period of Chanel hiatus so I'm no longer "current" in my Chanel knowledge.

I went to trunk shows / launch parties pre-covid. My favorite was for the Greece collection at a private club, it was quite the scene. The last launch party I was supposed to go to in 2019 at the boutique was canceled because of wildfires and then haven’t heard of any parties since…

Apparenfly Fair Isle and Nordic sweaters will be big this winter. I’m thrilled I can pull out a sweater I bought in Norway in 2000.
