I tried this Chanel cardigan yesterday. €4950 which is just crazy to me for a cardigan. It was quick thick and cosy though. I loved the shape however not a big fan of the buttons. I’m usually a 34 but 36 fit quite well (I have relatively broad shoulders for my height)

It think it's gorgeous. Glad I live in a warm climate and don't have use for it or I would buy it.

Below are the threads on Dior RTW. Not to get too far off topic, but I recently purchased a couple of RTW items from Dior - they very wearable, esp while working remote now with very few in office meetings. The experience was also spectacular, although I worked with a SA out of town while traveling (Vegas), who I have known for years, as I met her while she was at Prada at the Crystals. I have to admit it was refreshing not to have to deal with the Chanel drama, and she offered me consignment out of the gate and also offered me the opportunity to reserve items. Sure the history helped. I do find the Dior RTW fun, wearable, easier to maintain...TBH it isn't as beautiful as the Chanel aesthetic IMO, but I really appreciate it for what it is.

Here are the threads:

Dior RTW

24S Dior RTW - 24S is owned by LVMH so pretty legit, there are 10% codes floating around, The Heated Mess had one on her story just over the last few days. The pricing is similar on some items, but the discount code is a nice perk and not something that would be seen on the main Dior, Fendi, or even LV sites.

@Brooklynite, ITA and +1 with @sheeby; I think she covered almost everything  plus, I think Dior works beautifully with chanel RTW, such as chanel sleeveless top and short sleevedsweater with Dior palm skirt, Dior sweats; chanel cashmere patterned cardigan with Dior gauchos etc. . .

@Susaguil has posted that her experience buying Dior at Bergdorfs is fabulous (if you have a bergdorf SA, perhaps she could help with that or refer you to the right person. I find that a personal referral from an SA who already knows you garners the best results).

@may3545 posted that she has great results from Dior consignment (they send to your house and you choose)I personally think that it’s good to go in person initially to have an SA meet with you so they know your taste and rough size though

some TOF members have posted thst theyve had terrible experiences with buying on line, so I wouldn’t go that route

Although I love my chanel SA, i get fabulous service at Dior. I find Dior customer service above and beyond once they get to know you. I met my home SA as a walk in, and after I clicked with him, he invited DH and me to the dior museum exhibit.cocktail opening in NY (while I regularly buy RTW, my spend is definitely not VIP level spend).

At Dior Rome, they were able to look up my sizes from NY, and when I bought a dress that was missing a button, they re-sent it to my hotel and sent me a bouquet of flowers and a sweet note. . . (and this after I told them that I would only buy one item in Rome as a souvenir bc I love my home Dior). heres a cross post pic of the Dior museum opening cocktail; the Rome flowers and the latest dress (I originally posted these in the thread Dior RTW)

You have such a lovely SA!
With school starting I've been running around like a mad person each day. Our lives are full of logistics planning and execution lol. I could barely make the trips to buy some Chanel here and there let alone Dior or others...Wish Dior could show all the RTW they have online. Chanel is much better from this perspective: I text my SA the styles I'm interested and then she would inform me when they are in. So I just dash in and try then dash out.
Do you mind sharing a Dior RTW thread? I looked up but couldn't find it :p
Thank you again 880. You are such an inspiration.

Thank you for your kind compliment @Brooklynite! Here is the Dior RTW thread (also posted above by @sheeby ). It was started by @periogirl28 who provided some of the inspiration for me (and many other TPF members) to venture into Dior. Good luck settling your little one in school!

I thought the same. Although I live in London now, I am planning to move to Singapore in a few years so don’t want to spend nearly €5K on an item that I cannot even wear long term. I would be more tempted if the material was lighter weight instead of cashmere.

I fall into this category, I’m new to Chanel jackets, would you ladies recommend this or wait? I don’t know if I like those 2 buttons on the chest pockets. Isn’t it cleaner to have no pockets/buttons on the chest area?
Reason I’ve held off buying one is every jacket I’ve tried always made me look older. I bought lots of Chanel denim jackets though. Even the classic knitted cardigan makes me look old and formal too.
I think that the image “Chanel is an old lady look “ is an old perception, today Chanel is more as a status symbol. I personally love an young girl in a classic chanel jacket. The 4 pockets and and buttons are part of the original chanel jacket that has been around for ever, like Kelly and Birkin, but many people think that these bags are aging too. As far as the buttons- we live for them, most of the time they are like little bijou .

Hi, I've been lurking here for quite a while and I love it but this is my first post. Does anyone have any info/details on this jacket? More pictures? Item #? Materials? Price, etc...
My SA sent these videos for the black version. Sadly I wanted the pink which the stores here didn't order.

I have some brief videos on the black version but don't know how to post them here. It's about AUD10.7k. It's slightly cropped.

Here is the black. But I think this is different than the pink posted earlier.
