Congratulations on your beautiful jacket! It looks to me to just be a normal part of the tweed consistent with the other jackets I've seen. I am happy you decided to get it. How did you find the sizing on it?
I would say mine is the same and I feel it's just a feature of the tweed or how the yarn was designed to create more texture and allure of the material, similarly a 3D effect, which I adore very much. I may be wrong, but I think this piece is lesage tweed. BTW, the pictures are taken in natural light without any editing.

I saw a fabulous Instagram or other influencer photo posted perhaps by @TankerToad, and rushed to my SA to ask to try it on. It was boxy but not flattering on me (bc my figure is kind of boxy — I have a broad shoulder and large waist for my size and I am short). plus, the Peter Pan collar made me look like I was twelve, as per my SA and DH. (It’s never good when your SA takes a deep breath and says “I have to be honest with you. . .” I had to concur. It was not cute on. . . I don’t even think I took a pic. I got the impression it ran large bc I tried on a much smaller size than usual, but I don’t recall if it was a 36? (I’m a 40 in a chanel boucle jacket). I have to shorten the sleeves on everything sadly

Thanks for sharing. That was my impression that it may have more hanger appeal. However, I have to say it's very persuasive to say it made you look like 12. If I were in my 30s, I would be sold. Jacket is lovely and feels light. I have many heavy C jackets and in comparison this felt so light jacket. I debated this and sequence one but decided on black for more classic style and it’s easy to style for me with jeans, etc.
As for sizing, I could get away with one size down but since I could not try on in person I went ahead and bought my regular size. I Love the shoulders btw.
I am just going to keep this and take in from sides when I take it in for shortening the sleeves. I would say cut is generous.

The tweed has texture and that is what gives it character and makes it unique. Either you like it or you don’t. I love the individuality of it.
Hi snowball. Is this one size down from your regular size. It looks more fitted than mine and sleeve length is great on you. Now after seeing your photo, I am debating if I should exchange to one size smaller.

The new fall 21K collection will have an early exclusive launch at Bergdorf on September 8th. Funny that I got an invite from their team and am still receiving catalogs but haven’t shopped with them for a long time after several unpleasant moments… If you are in the city you may be able to stop by and view the collection.
Also both of these premiere looks are horrendous… The 50/50 proportion on Penelope (imagine if she weren’t wearing heels, her upper body would look longer than her legs!) and the pajama Haute Couture on Kristen… I’ve seen more elegant nightgowns on the Golden Girls…
I found the 38 and the 40 were almost identical in fit. I took the 40 because I wanted the length and I took it in. So I would say the jacket runs slightly large. I don’t like the in-between look on me so a jacket has to be short or it has to be long.
