Can you post pics of the hole? Close up to see the broken weave and from further away to show scale? These may also be useful if you have to send it away for repair.

I have seen some really good repair work but don’t have any resources in the US unfortunately.

The hole itself is the size of the tip of a pinky finger. The rope/braid detail is covering it, but because the hole originally holding the rope detail in place, it looks so much more noticeable.

I have used French American reweaving in midtown in NYC on some cashmere sweaters before with great results. I would give them a call- if you’re not in the NYC area maybe you can ship it to them for repair.

I looked them up and heard great things about them, I'll give them a call when I'm free. Thank you

Wow that is wonderful! Thank you :flowers: What season/year ?

It's 21K.

I’m so glad y’all got the jacket oceuni and Kerri. Pics do NOT do it justice. It is stunning ! So shiny in real life. I see navy but plum tinted. Lightweight. Beautiful.
I can’t shift the cost of it at this time but wholly endorse it.

I also tried the stretchy t shirt which was really comfy and loose fitting but fitted at the same time. It has ccs that stretch. Really neat. The Dalmatian / spotted top was so pretty and soft. I just don’t do turtlenecks . It looks more like ermine in person.

@pigleto972001 I love the sleeveless turtleneck on you! Did you end up purchasing it?

Ah I see. Definitely send photos so they are aware of what needs to be fixed. If you can photograph the reverse they may be able to see what’s broken in the dark part more easily.
I think they should be able to reattach the loose braid and secure it using your matching yarn. And if it needs reweaving they should be able to do that as well. Good luck!

(It’s the kind of thing I attempt myself but I’m adventurous that way - I wouldn’t recommend DIY unless you were skilled).

Thank you! I'll make sure of that.

I would give it try as well. It doesn't look that difficult and with all that pattern going on, your eye will never go right to it anyway. I have repaired a sweater where the trim was separating from the sweater.
