ari, GREAT pictures of what is coming! Thank you- like the sharp tailoring of the denim jacket. Good morning ladies! It is still cold here in the northeast so I was able to wear one of my favorite jackets just one more time.. skirt was from pre-fall a couple of years ago. My SA loved the color and texture of the skirt but it was originally an A-line. We tapered it down to a slim pencil and she was right, it mixes well with so many things. But I wanted to show you that snowball can be very thrifty! My blouse was $14.99 purchased pre-covid during one of my mall walks I used to take. I was going through the triple markdown section of bloomies in some no name dept and found this- goes in the wash, never wrinkles and looks just fine IMHO!

Now onto some new things I tried this past weekend at my store.. For those of you who have seen my posts over the years, I tend to wear conservative jackets and skirts and other tailored looks. In a word, boring. Like the outfit I just posted above. I really tended to gravitate toward a certain look( my comfort zone) and I have asked my SA to kindly help me loosen that up. I want, and really need, some more casual things that can mix and match but still be age appropriate. So hopefully more jeans and knits etc. Not to say I won't fall for a beautiful classic jacket if it drops in my path.. but you get the picture. So, we started with some basic t shirts for the spring. Who can't use a good white t shirt (or in this case two of them)? One is the current and the other is from last year. Very similar but different- one is a bit longer but both made of that great stretchy material that C does. This year's version costs $250 more- price increase evident for sure. The blue shirt in the background I am getting as an option to wear with the navy pants with the yellow ribbon trim I posted before.

You know I have this thing with the color pink, so let's get that out of the way next. I had passed on the shorter pink cashmere sweater (these sold out instantly at my store) , they had one longer one so I slipped it on just to see. Wow, this version is cut large this is my usual 36. I actually really liked it- so cozy! But it is a tough one to style. It really is supposed to be a dress (really??) . So comfy I didn't want to take it off. But ultimately, I think I would not wear it enough.

Next, the much discussed pink jacket. The COLOR!!! They have not done such a spectacular pale pink tweed in so long!! It just is the PERFECT shade for me, so flattering for my skin tone. But, we tried and tried to figure out how to make this work but ladies, there is just no way I can handle this style. I am always up for extensive alterations but not possible here and leaving it behind made me so sad. Forgive the mismatched shoe situation, I was also slipping on different options my SA wanted me to try. I did get the taupe loafers- a very unique color.

My dear Snowball, I agree with you TOTALLY about this jacket. Love, love the Tweed but just could not make it work for me. I need a pink jacket actually. So anyway my dear SA is waiting for the hip length pink cardigan to arrive, as I gave up 36 and 34 in the cropped version to 2 clients who really, really wanted them.

Love the color, buttons but shoulders are NO for me too. It’s sad that they made shoulders like this.

On to more pants. These arrived for me at the store yesterday and my SA took some pics. She says the pants are absolutely fantastic in person and I am really looking forward to trying them on!

She is also bringing in my size in these pants in both colors (black and white). There was only a size 40 for me to try. You can see that they are lightweight. ari, I think these may be the ones that you considered? If so, I see what you mean about the fabric.
My alterations lady says she can drop in a lining in the white ones no problem (full or partial) if necessary. Also, there is no extra material at the seams for letting out so we are bringing in a size larger than normal as we can always take them in.

Love this knit top to go with them. The pants are a size too big and the sweater a size too small but when it all fits I think it will be a really nice look. The angle of the pic makes the neckline look more plunging than it really is. Also, these are the shoes she is bringing in for me for these pants

I think it looks great on you! And that's exactly how I'd wear it---tied and over slim jeans or pants. Would be curious if your SA has other styling ideas, too.

She says the pants are also perfect for the tie sweater I got from my last visit. We are altering the sleeves on this sweater a bit shorter but I like the two of them together. Makes a nice look for the office. Sorry about flashing my midriff - I will definitely put on a tank under this sweater ! Again, sizing on the pants is wrong but they are SO light , airy and comfortable to wear. Perfect for warmer temps.
