CHANEL REISSUE

Hello, I am looking for a reissue but I have some doubts, if someone knows about it, can please help me? I want to know if Karl discontinued 255 in 1983 when he release CC flaps or it was still in production from 1983 until 2005 when he made the reissue that was made thinking about a bag that he found at coco Chanel apartment and had aged leather and hardware and that’s why it is how it is (it looks vintage, and I am not sure about this information, but I remember reading somewhere) And if so, what are the differences from it to the reissue version?I had only seen at the store 255 that looked like reissue (folded bottom, aged calfskin, ruthenium or gold hardware?) Reissue is at the classic line but with no 255-1955 written inside so it is not called reissue and it is called only 255 by Chanel nowadays but it is exactly the same as reissues? And ruthenium hardware is a collection piece and only gold is a permanent edition in classic line for this bag? The point is, there is Reissue, but there was normal 2.55 without it being from Coco decade?

I was originally going to get the reissue mini but decided that was too small. So this is really my size of mini bag.... All of my other bags are so big and I really wanted something light and easy for going out during the weekends. Plus this fits everything I need.

But I did buy another black Chanel at the same time.... so it made my colour purchase easier. LOL

This RED! I've seen a couple of other 20P reissue reds but your picture makes it look brighter. How would you describe the red - true red with blue undertone? So pretty!

Hi! New to reissue 2.55 style. I recently purchased one in the 225/small size from Costco in a 28 series and navy with shiny ghw. I've been sifting through the Internet and believe this colour combo is part of the 19A, BUT I've only found pictures of this colour combo in the mini reissue size and not the small size. Had anyone seen this one in stores in the small size or know if it was made in the small size? I'm not too familiar with the features of the 2.55 features (i.e. Hardware). Someone mentioned that back of the hardware on the flap usually comes with flat top screws but mine is sort of like a star shape screw. Any comment helps! (I've also attached a picture I found of this bag on IG but in the mini size)

I did a double take too but remember seeing tPF posts in the past where people have bought used Chanel bags from Costco (and Prada...)

@viviliciousss I do remember reissues in sizes larger than minis, in 19A, with shiny gold hardware: the 'classic reissue' is in aged gold or ruthenium hw. I saw a beige in 226 size, not a navy but that doesn't mean it didn't come in navy. Can't speak to the authenticity but if you look at resell sites, the screws do come in the flat head and 'star shape' screws.

I’ve seen one last year at NM Chanel. 225 in navy with shiny gold hardware. I’ve been looking for it since then bc I was sad I missed it! Good find!

I believe it's brand new. It did't indicate that it was pre-loved
