What may a large increase look like? Right now the bag is... somewhere north of $6k? $7k is a 16% increase which doesn't sound like a lot. Could this bag go up beyond $7k??? At that price point, why not just go straight to Hermes?

price increases don't bother me because i only buy pre-loved, which are usually all in new condition anyway start coming over to the pre-loved side... where everything remains affordable!

This is so true! But have you noticed that they charge full price some times? That always amazes me.

+1 Yup! Unless you can negotiate. I've read somewhere here on the forum that yoogi's is negotiable but not fashionphile.

They do increase most of their items prices once they find out retail prices have increased. Once Fashionphile found out about GST discontinued, the prices were above the $2900 retail price. 😖

This is why I think I am done with Chanel handbags. I can't justify these insane prices. So sad because I always wanted a Boy but once it came close to the price I paid for the classic flap, I just couldn't do it.

Really? I ask this because I have sold a couple pre-owned Chanel's to fund Hermes and I have always sold for above retail, I have never lost a dollar even for used items.

Y'all need to stop buying Chanel. This feels like a scam, except you know beforehand you're being scammed. Price increase twice a year, quality is declining and there's no major monetary crisis/inflation and it's not like they also increase the salary of their employees who make the bags. This is getting ridiculous *exits thread*.
