I spoke to NM SA and she mentioned that the prices for the Chanel are not necessarily increasing. She says the price changes will begin with Act 2. She gave me the example of this boy bag being $4000 for old medium ImageUploadedByPurseForum1440087502.731143.jpg. I don't know how true or reliable the information is from this SA. I spoke to her about this last Saturday FWIW

I was inquiring with Hirshleifers. The email had this season's rectangle black lamb ghw mini at $2,900 and next season's rectangle black patent shw at $3,100 and a square black lamb shw at $2,900. I didn't ask for their full list so maybe it was just a typo afterall, which would be good news for all of us :)

Hmm...my list from Hirsh has all the current prices. Square @ 2700 and Rectangle @ 2900

So the prices will decrease?! At least for the boy bags?

No Tradesy had actual prices listed and same as eBay. I sold some items on Tradesy and what you stated about items removed by sellers are listed as sold are not true. That will be way too easy for sellers to inflate what they sold.

As many posters also said.... FP Yoogies and various sites all price their items to retail.

you didn't see my second post.... i did clarify that items that are more sought after do seem to run higher - close to or at retail. ebay/tradesy are very bad examples of pricing because sellers can list for anything they want without any regard for actual pricing in the store. and items that appear as "sold" may not even be sold, but just taken down by a seller. so it looks like an item sold higher, but perhaps it never did. a tradesy item - for example - also says "sold" for 2400 and a buyer will see that, but with a coupon or some email negotiating the buyer might only pay 2200 or less, but no one sees that.

either you're misinterpreting or i'm not explaining it well. tradesy sellers cannot remove items, at least not that i'm aware. but i sold an item on there for 2200 and it shows 2400 as the sale price because tradesy does not show how much the items are reduced by (with coupons). so, someone looking at the item might think it's worth 2400, but it's not, it's worth 2200. i've been selling on ebay for 15+ years. sellers have multiple id's and multiple names and can buy/bid on their own items to inflate prices in a category... it happens ALL the time and has been going on for years. they will bid on their own items with other names to increase prices, then say the buyer didn't pay and get back all their end fees, which are theirs to begin with. sellers bid on their own items with a second, third or fourth id all the time to show inflated prices. happens constantly and in all categories.

Old medium being $4000? Aren't they $4700 right now? Did you mean to say $5000?

Don't want to go further OT but I'm glad you clarified cuz your first post and the post I quoted earlier read very different from your last post.

I've seen not just classics, minis, wocs or boys but also popular seasonal bags like easy caviar go up in pre-owned markets while I'm downsizing my own collection and sold some of them.

Don't know if there will be another price increase this year but logically this against "price harmonization". Euro continues to be weak while USD will remain strong. Any US price increase will give lifeline back to resellers based in Europe

I need to go to Hawaii lol Actually I will be in end of OCT! May I ask if there is more than one Chanel store in Hawaii? I only know of the one in Oahu.

There's 2 on Oahu. Ala Moana shopping center as well as in Waikiki. I just purchased a boy bag today, it was the small size in lambskin for $3,440 before tax! (: my sales associate was saying they're not sure how long the lower price will last for though.
