I heard clothes and esp Lesage is going up bigtime too. But I didn't think it was this soon. The new jewelry that came out is outrageously prices. Small nothing pearls that looked very cheap frankly with a tiny bit of crystals and the crystals were much lower quality than before not STRASS were $850. The SA told me all the new earrings are around $1K and they looked like they should be $200. No one buying. I heard jackets are going to skyrocket. They already have skyrocketed. I saw plain cotton blouses for $7K. This is insane

Hmm but I thought the price adjustment just happened not long ago in Asia and Europe? I was thinking the chances of price increment might not be so soon since Chanel is trying to balance the prices across all countries. I see that U.S. pricing pretty much matches Singapore price.

BG was empty? San Fran Chanel boutique is still very busy with Chinese tourists which I don't understand. Prices here are almost the same if not more expensive than in Asia!!!

This was from WSJ's article today. Chanel is private so we don't know but Gucci and LV are set to make their earnings announcement and are expected to go up in sales due to weak euros.

They're crazy if they're having another increase. They already are having a hard time selling. Sales are down big time in the USA. BGs is empty, the flagship store isn't doing well, SOHO is empty. Their jewelry isn't selling that well because they raised most earrings to $700-800+. Sales are down to 1/4 to 1/2 of what they were so they're trying to make up for it.

It may have deterred the tourists from coming over here in oz and to the U.S. to save money, but I wonder if stock levels would've been a real issue now there's an increase of purchases in China?

Good question!

They've stopped buying at home according to WSJ. For Hermes they flocked to Japan and boosted Japan sale by over 20% in Q2 this year according to WSJ.

Again..Chanel is private so one can only guess. But honesty I don't like the variety offered in US. Everyone else has better buys than US [emoji13]

My SA suspects price increase will be in November. She told me this last year when I was thinking about buying a boy in September and sure enough there was a $600 increase (if I remember correctly). I think increases happen in May and/or November. Since there was not an increase this past May, pretty sure it will happen in the fall. We'll see...

Do any of you ladies know if it's just only on classics? And if yes, would the minis be part of that increase?

If the increase in price will impact on the classics, then the minis should be affected too. Minis are still part of the classic line though released based season. (Sorry if I am wrong, that's what my own SA told me though) But the price adjustment in April did impact the price of minis. For reference, it was previously SGD$4300 and now adjusted to SGD$3900.

Oh really?! I was thinking about going to Paris in November to buy myself a birthday present: my first Chanel bag. I'm already mad at myself I didn't buy it before this years huge price increase, so I really don't want another increase. Maybe I should go in October...

Hi ladies, & if any gents. I just spoke to my SA about a bag that I am looking at, a BOY, and we happened to mention my Jumbo's. He shared some confirmed information from the head of the shop and a price increase is amongst us. Will it be soon? I don't know. But I do know the next price increase will bring the prices up very high. :crybaby::cry:

More importantly, the classic flaps are going to be hit HARD. I don't know about other pieces, I don't know about accessories or anything else. He only mentioned the classic flaps, specifically the Jumbo. I don't know exactly when neither. I will try to see if he can tell me later. Just know, if you plan to buy a classic flap, buy it as soon as you can. Hope this helps. :heart:
