Two years ago she said the production of classic flaps was going to be greatly reduced and they are. Chanel wants HERMES status, Karl has made that very clear. He IS taking a page out of their playbook.

I hope Karl is planning to reach Hermes in quality as well.

1) the 10% price increase for pre-fall

2) GST discontinued

3) wocs will be revamped not discontinued although she didn't know how the new ones will look like

4) classics will be hard to locate


I hope none of these is true!!!!


One of my NM SAs still say GST won't be discontinued but saks is no longer getting any new shipments.

I guess we probably won't know which way it goes until Apr/May

I wonder if that's why they are doing chevron classics only in spring act 2. So people can't buy quilted ones before price increase?

TY for going the extra mile :heart: So that's two identical stories form two Sak's accounts, across the country from one another, both dealing with upper echelon managers.

So here's the deal. The production is suppose to be suspended/stopped for a few months (the chevrons will be available) when they do come back they will have a new price tag on them unfortunately and they will be harder to get. This is for beige and black (lamb and caviar). I was also told for boys as well. Karl is trying to take chanel to a different level and requires the classics to be exclusive (im assuming in just those colors) but the boy and Classic flaps will be available on a season to season basis in various colors. That's what I found out today by a SA that has been there for many years

does this apply for Europe as well? I wonder if they get the price increase sooner? hmmm...

Do you know if boy prices will go up at the same time? I forgot to ask my SA...but I suspect pre-fall price list will show an increase like what we saw last year
