Thank you for the info... Just when I was thinking to switch to Boy bags becaue they are cheaper than classic flaps, I'm shocked again - unfortunately I think the Boys will increase in price too, for sure... You won't find a boy for under 3000 Euros, maybe if they release Boys in Mini size...

Well, if they push Chevron this year, I'm fine with that...

Interesting will be, if Chanel launches the new WOC style , or if they'll the old style and release the new one next year or so...

Even with the higher prices you see in Europe today, at today's exchange rate, you are paying at roughly the same or slightly lower prices as what we paid here in US pre May 2014 price increase for the boys. Sigh!

I get what you mean... I'm really glad I live in Europe - there you can get the bags at the cheapest price... I always feel sorry for everyone who lives outside Europe, since you have to pay more :tdown::sad:

I think so far boutique SAs are all saying GST not discontiued and Saks/BG all saying they are

We've only seen seasonal colors on act 2 list. If we continue to see GST Classic colors in black and beige coming out for act 2 and beyond act 2 then we will know for sure.

Fingers crossed!!!

All Chanel seasonal totes are more expensive than GST. 😔so I do hope it stays!!!!

For recent US citizen buyers, Has anybody purchased a classic flap in Europe and had to pay duty tax when you returned to the US after your declaration? I am trying to decide if it really is that much cheaper there than here once VAT refund is credited. How much did you save by buying in Europe?

I leave for Paris In 2 weeks so I am trying to finalize purchases so I can budget. I also plan on buying a LV weekender bag so that will be another bag exceeding $1600 limit.

I was in Paris last week and purchased a jumbo flap at the Rue Cambon store. The bag cost 3950 euro, which came out to 4400 US dollars. The exchange rate is great right now, so I lucked out. I also will receive my VAT refund back . Once that hits, my bag will end up costing me between 3800-3900 US dollars. That's amazing considering it costs $5500 here is the US.

Even if charged duty tax, it's still much cheaper to buy in Paris.

Thank you for your response. May I ask if you were charged the duty tax and if so, how much (% wise)? I just want to prepare myself for sticker shock. I've read online that some were not taxed, some had 3% and some had 10%+.

Also, did the Rue Cambon store have a good supply of bags for the classic/reissue? I wasn't sure if you only looked at the jumbo flap only, or wanted to see the other sizes as well. Thanks!

Hi. I was not charged duty tax. The Rue Cambon store seemed to be well stocked. I went in to purchase a jumbo, so I didn't look at any other sizes. If you are unable to find the specific bag you want there, I am sure you can locate it in Paris, as there are several other stores.
