My SA said there probably would be another price increase in '08, but not for awhile since once just happened in Nov. '07. So....no definitive date thus far.

my Saks SA say for sure the cerf tote will be on it b/c it haven't been raised for the longest time.

Nothis was the next bag on my list to buy for work & I have other "priorities" to get before I get it. Arrgh time to re-evaluate my budget

An increase of price for classic bags in May? Most likely possible? If so, I've better grab my first chanel bag in april. It will be fantastic if we can get the detailed information weeks before the real price increase.

Apparently, the Ultimate Soft went up. It was $1595 the last weekend in February and it's $1840 now. Anyone know of anything else that's gone up?

My SA at the SF Chanel boutique said the price increase on the classics would be effective May 25th.

Okay so this gives me 2 months to save up everything and splurge on my first Chanel. No more going off track.

I think the Feb. increase effected watches and the like, no bags. The last increase on many of the classic bags was on Nov 1, 2007.

Another price increase ... just as we are gearing up for a pretty lousy year economy wise and the value of the dollar plunging ... but as usual the luxury market is pretty much shielded from economic downswings and new markets with consumers with lots of money to spend ...

you bring up a good point harley... the economy's really bad... bbut those who can really afford to buy many chanel's don't seem to feel the slump as much... so they keep on buying while the rest of us are on tpf drooling over their purchases!

and only on the classics? or certain classics? or classics and some other lignes? LOL... can you tell I'm really tense about this?

-UGH, the flaps have gone up SOOOO much in just the time span of a year.

Also, any word on watches/jewelry? Did these go up as well as was speculated?

There will be a fine jewelry increase in April. My SA just told me today. I'm glad I got my J12 in November!
