Hi all

Anyone whose been to a London store recently, do you think it's likely that I'll be able to get my hands on a black square or rectangle mini classic bag? Or are they bags that get snapped up quickly?

Hiya, I’m new to Chanel but from my experience so far I think it depends on the hardware choice you want.

I was in Selfridges two weeks ago and they had a black mini square with silver hardware. I posted pics here: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...where-no-chatting-please.937411/post-34222190

If you have the product code (listed on Chanel official website) I highly recommend calling or emailing first to check they have the item in stock. I find Walton Street Chanel and Sloane Street Chanel to be extremely helpful in checking items over the phone as long as you know the code. If they don’t have it, they will usually tell you which store does.

I just asked my SA at Bond Street to confirm. I’m going to Chanel Harrods this weekend to pick up a bag so can ask my SA there for you if you want.
If you dont mind please, that would be great. Contemplating whether to buy one this season or whether I should wait til Covid is over.. wasn't sure how easy it is to obtain one.

Have you guys seen Sophie Shohet's video? Do you think Chanel will use Brexit to put up prices in the UK sooner than the rest of the world, possibly January? Do you think we'll get much notice of a price increase if its not worldwide? Maybe they'll be a shortage in products if there's no deal? Wondering what my buying strategy should be this coming year...

My strategy is to lay low in 2021, there’s nothing that caught my eye that’s a must. I have a black, red, navy & beige Clair so to add something else it needs to be fun! The only thing on Immediate my list is a mini O.

Also yes, there’s confirmation of another price increase globally in Q1/Q2. Could be that it happens first here.

I buy only if it gives me joy and within my budget for the year. I stopped chasing the price increases. It’s ridiculously high now such that you really want to buy only what your in love with, in my opinion.☺️

Thank you, I really have a feeling it will be here before the rest of the world. You're very lucky you have classics. I don't... trying to weigh up getting classics before the price increase or letting my dream go of owning them and buying pieces from SS21 which really have caught my eye.

True just don't know whether to buy the classics that I really love even though I know I could get it in years to come but I really don't want to be spending £10k plus in a few years or SS21 that I also love and that'd I'd only have a limited time frame to buy. I think prices will go up here first and higher than the rest of the world

Harrods SA says they have lambskin chevron rectangle and diamond square mini in black.

@tsng would you be able to share your Harrods SA? I’ve been trying to get one since Nov lockdown but had a terrible experience with Harrods personal shopping and no joy emailing or calling them. I want to buy my first bag at the end of Dec/ start of Jan and apparently Harrods has the bag in stock.
