Hi my Luvs,currently overseas and will be coming over to the states next month.but would like to know if it's worth it to stop over in England cos of Chanel store at the duty free off course to see what they have in store.just got myself the golden class flap in medium from BG which I'm yet to see cos still overseas.it was shipped to my house.im trying to track down a mini caviar leather in black.the old mini though with four holes.pls my lovely PF family if u know or have experience bout heathrow duty free Chanel pls help out.would like to know what type of bags they carry.i don't want to travel through London then end up not buying anything.TIA

Hi my luvs, I'm currently overseas and would be coming back to the states next month.


I'm thinking bout stoping over in London (duty free) cos of Chanel of course.


My question is, is it worth it cos I don't know what type of bags they sell at duty free London.


Just got the golden class in black medium from BG which I'm yet to see cos still overseas


I'm on the hunt for a mini in black caviar the old mini with 4 holes though.


I don't want to stop over without buying anything.

I passed through there yesterday morning and the only mini they had, in display, was a navy blue lamb with a brushed hardware of some sort.

Lots of small boys cruise and several small top handle flaps

Hi Ladies! I'm so excited my parents are going to London next week and I am having my mom hit up some Chanel boutiques for me since the dollar is doing so well right now against the pound I think I could save some serious $$$. Any advice on where she should go to look? Harrods? A separate boutique? Heathrow? All of the above? ;) Depending on price, I am having her scope out a CF jumbo caviar with SHW, rectangle mini's and SLG's.... Thank you ladies!!

I was in London a few weeks ago. I purchased at classic double flap maxi from harrods. I purchased right before the prices went up in July. They seemed to have good stock and prices are still good with the price increase. Overall I saved about $1800 buying in UK vs US. I also bought a woc at the airport. They had a lot of boy bags but no classics double flaps. I've heard they don't sell them anymore. My advice is to buy in Chanel or department store then get vat refund. You don't want to bank on the airport having what you want.

$1800?! Holy cow! Pardon my ignorance but did the price increase affect the classic flaps as well? Are they still $5500 in the US?

The maxi is $6000 in the U.S and the jumbo is $5500. In NYC a maxi is about 6400 with tax and I paid $4600 with vat refund. In UK prices went up about 10% and yes classics too. Increase was just in UK due to the pound so low. Either way still cheaper than US.

Sorry I was thinking the jumbo size since that is what I am looking for... Thanks for the clarification! And congrats on some great purchases!

BOND STREET!! I was there right before the price increase last month as well! I got a m/l CF for just under $3900 ($5300ish in US with taxes). That store was huge and lovely. It's also right across the street from a great LV as well.
