OMG Yes! Single flaps are the best. While I love my double flap Jumbo's, I must admit that I gravitate towards the single flaps more due to ease of use.
Agree! Very light, easy to use, fits more, and perfect to wear over summer dresses/tops. The single flap loose their structure though. I recently bought one and it doesn't have defined structure as my double flap. I bought an organizer to help. Regardless, I love both my Jumbos. I saw mini flap in use by a lady and I was quite underwhelmed and cannot imagine using such a small bag for every day use as I tend to carry a lot of items. Mini is perfect for evening wear and I am hoping to add a gold or silver to my collection for special occasions.

I don't see how a tote is anything near the jumbo size. The jumbo is a nice medium sized bag, it's not at all too large or even bulky. Agree with the minis being too cutesy, not my style. I love the WOC though. The jumbo makes such a statement and is so stylish. The medium is just too formal for me, that and not liking how it sits (it flails about long strapped, too tight under the shoulder double strapped) is why my medium only goes out for evenings out. I do love it, it just doesn't get as much wear. But the jumbo has a casual vibe and can be used every day. I have three and am thinking of making the fourth one a lambskin jumbo if they come out with a color I can't resist!

A couple months ago my SA in Beverly Hills noted that people were finally starting to ask to see the maxi size again. She said no one had expressed any interest in that size whatsoever for the last few years so the recent uptick in interest was noticeable. So I’m guessing the shift toward larger bags is beginning, albeit slowly.

Reinforcing that idea, have you seen the gigantic bags carried on the runway in the last year or two??? They are arguably as impractical as the micro bags, but at least the trend is in the right direction (in my opinion anyway...I love a large, practical bag!). After all, bags cannot possibly get any smaller than those credit card sized micro bags, so if designers want to be innovative trendsetters, there’s no where for them to go but bigger.

The move towards smaller bags by bloggers and influencers is ridiculous. It just goes to show they all follow each other and don’t ever think through what really works for them. I’ve seen so many influencers all of a sudden figure out the jumbo doesn’t work for them and sell it (really, after so many years?) and buy a medium or small. And then they wear the medium or small as a crossbody over a winter coat! It looks ridiculous on them!
The Jumbo (large) is the best size for me and I’m going to keep wearing them. Trends be damned especially when they are stupid trends. And it really isn’t that heavy. It feels lighter than many of my other bags of same size.
I love my 2.55 /50 the Anniversary Jumbo CHANEL. I agree with you that my bag is not heavy. I am completely aware that this is of course, personal preference. However, I absolutely loath these mini bags. This looks as if they should belong to a small child. I am with you and will continue to carry my jumbo 2 55's and my jumbo Classic Flaps. Well said!

Local spas can always fix structure.
I can not contain my excitement when I got my CF maxi back from Leather Surgeon. Once again they have proven their superb service.

Oh wow good to know! Mine doesnt look that bad, just a little sagging on the bottom which doesnt bother me but I am truly impressed by their work..

Yup. I think hers is a double flap, & in caviar which is the ultimate sturdy bag! It's actually hard to use even a single flap to that stage but yeah I'm glad that the maxi gets a happy ending. I'm eyeing single flap maxi lambskin shw at the moment.

I love my single flap black maxi flap caviar silver hardware jumbo. It has hibernated several times in the last 12 years. Curating my wardrobe is easy because I can make it go with just about any occasion or outfit. I almost sold it in 2012, and then turned down the Houston resell outlet’s offer. I have the medium double flap in same leather/hardware. It is just my perfect purse look and utility.

I wonder if many who are deep in the mini trend would regret later. Other than great for clubs, the bags fits little (especially square mini), look more like a kid’s bag and for the cost I’d rather get a small cf. Really just my unpopular opinion.

Jumbos/maxi might not be trendy but at least practical functional.
I agree about the mini part, I never fell for the mini bag trend, I only have 1 caviar black mini that I rarely use but won’t part with because it’s caviar and hopefully will pass it on to my daughter. I much prefer medium/large sized bags (or WOC for a smaller bag) and the jumbo is definitely one of those!

Yes one in the collection is always good. I think Chanel is really banking in on mini trend... they get soooo much money from very little leather used :happydance:
