Personally I've had my J12 for two years, wore them everyday. To work, to tan, to beach, typing, clinking into things. Never had a problem. On the contrary my Cartier is scratched all around after a year and needs to be repolished

To me it's a modern classic.

Sidenote: Dior just came out with their own Ceramic line of watches in August.

I was referring to RADO and I remember not just 1 unhappy RADO customer who expected the ceramic watch to last.

I know this is an old thread from last year but I do want to hear what ppl say about J12 this year. Is it still in? I am hoping it will be the NEW classic as I am only in my 20s and wish to wear it for the next 20 years.

I had the biggest struggle on getting a Cartier or J12 for $7000 US. I looked at Cartier watches and all the ones within my price range did NOT make my face smile. However J12 just tickles my heart and I fell in love with it the first time I saw it at Saks. So both my mom and I bought one! I got the 8 diamond and my mom got the 12 diamond markers...

I think they are beautiful and I'd love them but they are trendy... not to say women won't rock it 20 years from now, but in general, the whole look is trendy.

J12 is my everyday watch and I never have to worry about scratching it and it doesnt matter if it's trend or not. My Cartier Ballon Bleu in the other hand only sees the daylight during special occasion and even then I had one deep scratch on it already :-(

I bought my J12 over 3 years ago & its still one of my favourite watches, I actually put off buying this watch for 2 years prior to this for fear of it being trendy & that it might date but who cares if you love it then that's really all that matters & personally I think it will be a classic like Chanels bags are plus I have several Rolex & Cartiers & this watch keeps the time much better than any of them.

I have white 38 and love it to death, it is so easy to wear and goes with everything! I am so happy I decided to go with the j12 after all! I contemplated for a long time between j12 and Rolex but Rolex just didn't do it for me!

Actually, the J12 prices recently went DOWN! I purchased my watch in February at $6350usd and then just last month found out that the exact same watch was priced at $5700usd...

Luckily, the store manager refunded me the difference through a Chanel boutique gift card!

I just looked at the Chanel website and the prices haven't gone back up since they went down.

the SA in chanel said it went up $1000.Or he means it gonan go up or it already did confused. Well How do you love your j12 so far??i cant decide if i should get j12 or sth. I saw the chromatic metallic one it was gorgeous as well. but it was retailed at 16250 USD

Hmmm maybe it's going to go up soon?! I know it's been awhile since the price has gone up!!

I loooove my J12... I got the white 33mm with the diamond bezel and I wear it all the time! It really is a beautiful watch! Good luck deciding!
