Same with me. I realized i love lambskin so these days i primarily get lambskin and i find them pretty durable.
Let me tell you a story, when I first got the classic flap in black, I chose caviar because I was told that it was more durable over lambskin. But as days went on, I regretted getting it in caviar because I didn’t love it, so I didn’t take care of it as often and ended up getting rid of it. If you get what you love and find more beautiful to your eyes, you would be more motivated to take care of it, thus it will end up lasting longer. Whereas if something is uglier yet more durable, you’re more willing to throw it around and eventually it will end up wearing too. Whereas if it’s something you love and cherish, people tend to treat those like their babies, they end up looking nicer even if it’s not as durable. But so the beige color in general, as long as it’s caviar, it’s durable regardless of whether it is matte or not. I’d say go with the beautiful chevron.

What is the color of the chevron? 20b?
I would go for the seasonal beige chevron with light GHW. I feel the chevron looks more trendy and also I’m not too crazy about the Beige Claire with SHW. I have a beige Claire myself but I keep eyeing the seasonal beige. I feel it has a less yellow undertone more of a mocha/ caramel color and with the GHW and chevron, am sure it looks stunning.

Chanel beige claire owners: did you notice scratches on the strap when you first bought it? I just got this bag new from boutique and just noticed this imperfection. Am I being too picky?

Did Chanel produce beige clair in caviar leather with 24K gold hardware in 2008-2009 (series 12)? Came across a vintage bag listing but such a combination seems quite rare — couldn’t find listings with similar specs online.
