Cartier SM love bracelet on its own, plain or 6 diamond?

Hello Ladies! I previously wanted help deciding on which combination of bracelets I would buy (classic love and juc) and decided to put it off due to it being too much for my casual wear and daily life. I then wanted to get the love bracelet but after trying one on , it seemed a bit too chunky on me. All though I do love it, I’ve always preferred daintier pieces and never considered the sm love as I’ve seen comments saying how it’s an add on bracelet and that it looks like you’ve compromised / got what you can afford. Since the sm love would fit me better , I was wondering if I should get the one with 6 diamonds as it has a bling but the diamonds are very small/ not noticeable, and also since the price is close to the classic love , it (hopefully) won’t look like I tried to compromised? I also do like the sm since I feel like less people would recognize it and it would get less attention, rather the classic which I wouldn’t want people to stare/ comment on. It’s more “lowkey” I guess you could say. Let me know what you ladies think! Also I’m not planning on stacking since I prefer the look of one alone, though I now have lost my love for the classic and want to decide between the sm love with it without diamonds. I’ve also read about less scratches on the sm due to its surface area. I’m not sure about the patina since I’ve never seen it on an sm love but if anyone wears the sm love daily on its own I would love to see it! This will also be a forever piece for me and I plan on wearing it 24/7. Thank you!
Did you decide?

I just added a small love 6 diamonds to my wrist as well in YG . I had planned to wear with my dbty but worried it will scratch it up. I am going to Tiffany’s tomorrow to see if I can have my dbty tightened. My wrist is a 6” and my bracelet is 6.25” right now. For those of you that wear with dbty, how tight did you go? Could I go 6” (size of my wrist bone). My love is a 17 and sits right on top of my dbty when my hand is down now so I want to shorten it a little so they don’t overlap. The love slides over my dbty now which is fine (scratches the inside up only lol).

If I can’t get my dbty to work I am considering buying another small love in WG - either another 6 diamond or plain. Wondering what others would choose to layer - let me know! Classic is out of scope because I need to be able to remove the bracelet easily for work etc. Thanks for the input!

I would wear the Dbty on the other wrist. But I don’t like tight bracelets so that is why..I wouldn’t shorten it further. Get another bangle to stack with your love. Another thin love or something else that stacks well.

@goodcrush this is what my Tiffany SA suggested as well because she doesn’t think it would be good to go too snug on my dbty.

Would another 6 diamond be too much? Maybe a plain WG? Someone also suggested a plain YG to me too since together they would look like a classic (which I love but can’t have due to lifestyle).

I've been debating the same choices to go with my small 6 diamond YG love! I'm leaning towards small 6 diamond WG because it can be stacked with the YG one or worn on its own with other WG pieces. Also the plain WG is a darker color since it's not plated with rhodium the way the diamond WG pieces are (I haven't seen this on the love bracelets in real life but I have a small trinity ring and a WG 1 diamond love wedding band and the difference in the WG color is noticeable). Definitely try on both before you decide!

@cali_to_ny OH! Thank you for pointing this out! I had no idea they were different! That’s an important consideration because I do like the bright silver look. Also rhodium i think gives a hardier surface.

I too am leaning towards the diamond WG. Although I really don’t believe the tiny diamonds justify the extra price, I feel like the plain band just doesn’t stand out in the small size. The classic looks fine because the motives are visible but on the small you don’t see them unless close up.

That being said I don’t think I would ever wear the WG on its own since all my jewelry is YG/RG. So maybe a plain would be ok (this is my bank account convincing me). I have also been toying with a plain YG since I love the classic look but the locking mechanism just doesn’t suit my lifestyle. So many decisions!!

I would appreciate some opinions on stacking with a thin love.

I usually wear my rainbow love every day and pair it with different bracelets. In past years, I wore it with an all diamond white gold love (regular size), but even with a sweatband the clanging bothered me while exercising. I would like to wear my diamond JUC more often with the rainbow love, but I think there needs to be a spacer bracelet between. I am visiting my sister for the holiday and she let me borrow her thin WG 6 diamond to try out. Do you think this would work to wear as a spacer between the rainbow and PG diamond JUC? I have already tried it while running and the regular + thin loves do not clang together like the two regular loves did. (I always remove the JUC before running anyway).

I also have another YG rainbow love (it is really my backup rainbow love…something I do with pieces I really love that are not replaceable) and am even thinking in the back of my mind that I could possibly wear both rainbows with a thin love spacer between. Though I suppose there would still be the problem of the 2 regular size loves clanging together.

Have you considered a cuff?

@Chivisi i actually tried the cuff on and found it very comfortable! The problem is i wanted to layer with my dbty Tiffany bracelet and the gap in the cuff lead to tangling with the Tiffany chain. If I were to only wear one thing, I think the cuff is a great value option for Cartier - the look for less lol!

I wear a classic and a thin love with diamonds, the two bracelets nest together and move together. It's almost as though they are magnetized as they never bang against one another. I sometimes add my thin JUC and that one tends to overlap the two but the thin/classic move as one. :)
