You can ask them for new cords, but can you replace them yourself? I think I'd make a mess of it myself.

While I can manage the knot (once it came off on my side), I can't do the burning at the end. My reknotted-on-1-side bracelet had a 1cm end before I could go to the boutique to get a proper replacement done haha

I watched a video on it. I can do it and it doesn’t loosen, but it’s not as good as when Cartier does it. I had to learn if I want to switch cords out because I rarely get to a boutique.

Once you knot each side, if it’s too long, cut it down, then burn it with the lighter slightly away from the end and not directly on it (it will still burn it to seal it).

I still need to perfect the knot better. An SA told me the secret is to make the knot super tight.

After several tries, I told her I was able to do it. She was shocked, stating it took her months. SAs are shocked when I tell them I can do it but not as good or pretty as they can! LOL

Not sure where you live, but tried changing my cord a week or two ago and my SA at the Boston boutique said they paused changing cords again due to covid.

Make sure you tell them yours is new. Some boutiques have temporarily stopped cord changes bc of omicron but they’ll still do it if it’s a new bracelet.

i have a cartier trinity bracelet from a few yrs back that i'd like to get the cord replaced. surprisingly the cord is in perfect condition even tho i wear it everyday and never take it off. just tired of the color....can anyone tell me if cartier charges for getting the cord changed and how much?

Do they give cords if you don’t have the bracelet with you? The Printemps SA refused to give me cords and said I needed to come back with the bracelet.

You can shower with it or not. I stack with love and just en clou. The purpose of the cord for me is a barrier in between the 2
And here in vegas I change my cord out once every 2 weeks - it’s always free and there happy to do it! The cord is not supposed to be permanent part of the bracelet, that’s why it’s changeable at any time for any reason!❤️ Hope this helps
