I was at the Rue de le Paix Cartier yesterday and I was chatting with the SA. She was very lovely and said that Cartier doesn't like to do price increases before Christmas. Probably because it doesn't really align with the Christmas spirit.

Oh my!! I was just online at the Cartier Malaysia website and prices in Malaysia seem to have DROPPED 5-6% overnight!!

Looks like for everything, as jewelry and watches are cheaper, even bags look cheaper!
My SA just texted to inform me of this 3 days ago and was dropping hints a few weeks ago to hold off purchasing. So yes. Price alignment down 5-6% apparently across all lines.

Just FYI if anyone is thinking of buying Cartier in South Korea - There was a price increase of around 5~6% on all categories/collections, effective January 4th

(i.e. The new medium love bracelet in Aug/rg was initially around 8,700,000 Korean won prior to the increase. It is now 9,300,000 Korean won.
The mini Baignoire bangle in yg/rg went from being 18,500,000 to 19,600,000)
This is probably to reflect the extremely low won x the increasing price of gold
. (i.e. The new medium love bracelet in Aug/rg was initially around 8,700,000 Korean won prior to the increase. It is now 9,300,000 Korean won.

Wow that is crazy. I got a few milestone pieces just 2 weeks prior to the increase in Seoul, feel so relieved.
