I just wonder why Cartier doesn't seem to increase pricing given the record gold prices? Okay they have their own gold mine but that's really small.

Curious. Would like to know when they make decisions based on the changes in the value of gold.
@Exubah242 kindly shared in the Clash de Cartier thread that her SA hinted at a possible price increase in April. That makes sense to me because I believe the last PI in North America was last April, 2024 (experts correct me if I’m wrong, tho) — not sure about other regions. Exubah242 are you in America? And has anyone else heard anything from their SAs? I’m going to try to get to my nearest boutique in the next couple of weeks just in case! Thanks in advance to anyone who has intel! 🙏💙
I visited my SA last weekend, and he also told me that a price increase is most likely coming soon (for US). He said that he doesn't know the exact date yet, but it's most likely going to be in April. I don't know if the price increase will affect certain items/all items, but my SA said that he'll share more details with me once he gets them.

I'm just wondering given the recent run-up of gold if the price increase will be more substancial?
In numbers: Gold went up roughly 40% - in US$ - over the last 12 months and 1/4 to 1/5 of the value of a Cartier item is the gold so that alone would reflect 8-10 % of an increase.

I contacted Cartier today and they said the price increase would probably be in April/May & they wouldn’t know until a week beforehand 🥺
At least with Cartier it's still possible to order at current price in that week of the announcement.
Last time I heard of price increases, it was a scare tactic to make customers or tpf members buy on the spot.
I don’t think Cartier SAs are allowed to do that anymore. My SA knows less than tpf when it comes to price increases or new models coming out. lol
