I paid 30% of retail (plus tax) to resize my small juc. They didn’t reproduce mine, they gave me a new size from the boutique so I didn’t have to wait the 6-10 weeks.

What do they do with your original...I wonder if they polish and sell as new
I wonder how they chose who pays 60 vs 30%. Are you a familiar client? Just wondering as I just got a preloved ring and need to get it resized. I was told I could get up to 2 US sizes up for free but it’s EU sizes.

I believe the 30% of retail only applies to “resizing” of bracelets like the love or juc. Ring, necklace and chain bracelets are resized free of charge.

Thanks. After having them extra loose, this took some getting used to but I don’t even feel them now. Having the stack with a JUC did pose problems for me when they were big.

I’m sorry you’re not getting the same quotes but it doesn’t surprise me. I wasn’t given the option to swap out my JUC on the spot when I dropped it off but I was when I dropped off the two Loves and that’s at the same boutique!
They look perfect. Did you get it done in the US?
My JUC overlap badly with my LBs, and are driving me crazy. My wrist is 14.5 and my LBs are 17 and my JUC is 16, so I think it is just that the bracelets are on the bigger side. Do you think resizing the JUC to 15 might work?

By a local jeweller?
It is usually total cost of gold by weight at spot + labour. Or, depending on the country, it could be total weight of gold times the cost of processed (worked) gold; the difference with the spot will give you the premium (i.e. the labour).
Comes out at a fraction of the original. However, careful as some dishonest local jewellers can thin down your original pieces, ever so slightly, to steal you some of your gold without you noticing... Happened to me.

Yes, I was referring to the reproduction service that Cartier offers!

They only do it for pieces where resizing is impossible. I wanted to make my love ring bigger because my significant other had ordered the wrong size with it engraved, so I wasn’t able to exchange it. He had ordered my ring about a year ago and I’ve been wearing it on my pinky since. However, I really want to be able to wear it on a different finger.

I did get a quote for 30% of the original price (around $600) to resize the ring today from my SA. So, I’m glad I’ll be able to get a new ring and actually be able to wear it!

I posted here as I wanted to see if anyone else had the experience of sending their Cartier piece for reproduction.

I was having this discussion with my SA two weeks ago, and she was telling that everything can be resized. However, it comes with a very steep price. Without checking, she told me it would be around 60% of the original price, so I'm glad to see that you got an official quote of 30%. It probably depends on the piece as well.

Oh wow! I was doing some research and I did see that some would get a 60% quote too. Thank you so much! :) Now I will be waiting around 20 weeks to get my piece back
