I was just in the boutique this past Saturday and my SA said it was 60%. I live in California.I don't know if it is true but heard that there is a promotion so it's not 60% but 30% payment for resizing until September...

I dropped mine off to be remade earlier this month and there is sales taxI'm assuming since they are remaking your bracelet there is no sales tax?
What is the lead time for the remake?I dropped mine off to be remade earlier this month and there is sales tax
Mind sharing your experiences? was it 60% or 30% of MSRP? How long did it take? Thanks! My paperwork says 24 weeks but that is the longest it would take. It could arrive sooner.

I have them all back now and they’re a perfect fit. It’s still 30%.I’ll try my best.
I brought my JUC in for an estimate last September and my two Loves in October to the Cartier store. The estimate came back shortly after. (Maybe two weeks?) I believe the store sent them either to NYC or Paris for the estimate. I can’t remember. The estimate explains the work to be done, time frame and cost which was 30% of the current selling price. Once you agree to the terms, the bracelets are sent to Paris to be worked on.
The time frame estimated for my JUC was 24 weeks and was ready for me to pick up in 12. I paid at the time of pick up.
My Loves were estimated to take 20 weeks and my all gold one was ready in 12 and I’m still waiting for my 4 diamond one. Now that I think about it, it’s been about 20 weeks now. I should call and check on it.
I will add… when I received my estimate for the Loves, the service assistant gave me the option of paying 30% for new Loves from the store if I didn’t want to wait for the work to be done and if I wasn’t intent on having the same serial number. (I could have walked out of the store with two new Loves in the size I wanted)
It was tempting and I’m not attached to my serial #’s in any way but since my JUC was already sent in, I decided to have the work done and wait for my Loves.
Another thing I will add, all three of my bracelets were sized down by 2 sizes. I believe the cost is 30% of the selling price no matter if you size up or down. The 30% was a promotion from their usual 60% fee but when I picked up my JUC I was told it was such a hit, they were keeping it at 30%.
Hope my info helps. If you have any more questions or need clarification, let me know.
Edit: so sorry. It’s a 30% fee, not 3%!
That is great! I might need to increase the size of my bracelets so good to know it is 30%. 60% seemed a bit excessive.I have them all back now and they’re a perfect fit. It’s still 30%.
Yep! And I would have felt better paying the 30% to increase the size rather than decreasing like I did! That is great! I might need to increase the size of my bracelets so good to know it is 30%. 60% seemed a bit excessive.
I saw you dropped off your jewelries in September last year and now it’s been 6 months since then, please don’t tell me it actually took 6 months! :’)I have them all back now and they’re a perfect fit. It’s still 30%.
It did not take 6 months. I was Quoted 24 weeks for the JUC and it arrived and I picked it up in about 12.I saw you dropped off your jewelries in September last year and now it’s been 6 months since then, please don’t tell me it actually took 6 months! :’)
By the way one thing that worries me is after polishing a love bracelet, the edge becomes very round. Did that happen to your pieces? Thank you!
Thank you!It did not take 6 months. I was Quoted 24 weeks for the JUC and it arrived and I picked it up in about 12.
My two Loves were quoted 20 weeks. My plain love took 16 weeks and my 4 Diamond took 20 weeks. I opted to pick both Loves up at the same time which was at about 22 weeks.
Remember, once the estimate came back, I was given the option to pay the 30% to immediately swap my Loves for brand new ones from the boutique instead of waiting for the reproduction to be done. Not sure this would be offered at every boutique. I opted for them to be remade.
When you opt for the reproduction, they are actually being remade so you are getting a brand new bracelet with edges crisp, not rounded. They melt down the gold from your bracelet and use what they can and add whatever is needed. At least that’s what they say. They could just be giving you a premade bracelet that hasn’t been stamped with serial numbers yet.

It is maddening how inconsistent they can be - not just between divisions, but between boutiques. I have never, ever understood why I get such vastly different answers from one store to the next. Not to mention that I get information from the service center in NY that is often later contradicted by the next person to handle the matter. I still love the brand, but their service is basically garbage these days.Thank you!
And they do look like the perfect fit nowStunning!
Btw I called boutiques in both NYC and SF, and they all quoted me 40% instead of 30%. Still better than Cartier call center, which quoted me a firm 60%..
Will go see my SA tomorrow and see if she thinks I actually need a resizing. My bracelet fits well now, but I suspect once I add on a JUC they might bang against each other quite badly since I also have a looser fit
Thanks. After having them extra loose, this took some getting used to but I don’t even feel them now. Having the stack with a JUC did pose problems for me when they were big.Thank you!
