I've just begun wearing my nameplate necklace with certain outfits recently. I've had it about 8 years - and as it was a confirmation gift, I don't associate it with "in" or "out". I didn't even watch SATC at that age - I don't even think it was around . I think name plate necklaces have been around for awhile - pre-SATC . Mine's tiny and dainty - it's great with certain outfits - but certainly not all, and not on a professional level.

I think the name necklaces are a bit trendy but if you can rock it, why not? I have a diamond initial in white gold which I wondered was dated or not but in a separate thread I got good support so I'll keep at it....
