Can you wear a black purse in the Spring/Summer?

I use black bags all year round. I think a black bag looks very chic with lighter, summer clothes (such as a black bag against a white suit).

I carry black bags in the summer, and don't think twice about doing so. I usually prefer patent in the summer though...like a few other ladies have mentioned.

I've never owned a black bag! Brown is my go to color as black has never looked good on me. To me Spring and Summer call for colorful bags but of course wear whatever you want.

I think black is perfectly appropriate in the summer, but I tend to reach for my brighter colors more often.

No, i will carry my seafoam TODS or my mint green Lambertson Truex. I also have a pink LT tote. I am seriously considering a TODS pashmy in one of those pastel colors, maybe yellow. I'll be in Ireland for a month this summer so I will need the pashmy there.

This is the best advice! I think I'll bring at least 2 bags, including the black one. That should cover every eventuality!

For my primary "go to" bag, I use a black bag 3 seasons of the year, but during the summer I switch to a tan bag.

You know, I don't have one single pic of that MJ bag, and it's over 2 years old! Must see what I can do with my husband's temperamental digicam.

I never wear carry bags. Don't even own one. I found out that I can easily live without one. Dark brown is easier to wear and it goes with black clothes. But then again, with black clothes I prefer a bag which would add a bit of color to the outfit, even a neutral shade (tan, beige). I just don't like the "total black" look, it's a bit boring and depressing.
