I am thinking about ordering a chocolate brown satchel from The Leather Satchel company because of the way they describe that particular leather on their website. It sounds like it will age really well.

Here is a picture of my actual bag. I had a hard time getting a good photo because it is raining here and the lighting is horrible.

The Leather Satchel company shows no batchels in its collection. From Cambridge Satchel Company, I ordered two batchels (satchels with handles). I also found no batchels in the Bohemia collection when I first checked. I think there are several different companies producing similar styles, but I decided to go with Cambridge.

I saw a young woman carrying a neon batchel one day while I was out shopping. I stopped and asked her where she had gotten it. Hers wasn't of very high quality and I wanted to make sure that I didn't end up at the store where she bought hers.

The young woman told me where she had bought her satchel and I thanked her. She got it at a local, chain store, here in the States, but I think her satchel originally came from the U.K. because I looked up the store and they were advertising satchels that had come from the U.K. One thing for sure was that it was not the same quality of the Cambridge batchel that an acquaintance of mine carries here. It was from seeing and trying on the acquaintance's batchel that lead me to purchase from Cambridge.

Check out the pink one that the woman is rocking and also the yellow one of the other woman. It looks quite hip to me.

By the way, I'm a woman in my 50s who will be rocking a red, Cambridge batchel with COOL embossed on it. I'm just waiting for my order to arrive. So, age is just a number. There are plenty of hip 50-somethings and hip, much older people where I come from. It's all in how one carries oneself and how one styles items. And I live in an area of plenty of stylists and fashionistas.

It is the 11" bag. I have an Asos bag that is 13" and it always seems too big when I carry it (but I prefer smaller cross body bags). I have not seen a Cambridge bag in person, so I don't know how the quality compares. I plan to use this as a travel bag and for going to the park, so it won't be babied. I guess time will tell on how it holds up. Hope you love your bag!

Btw, anyone of you girls here have problems with rain on your bags and causing it to bubble?

When I get mine, from Cambridge, I'll let you know. Well, that is if it rains. It might be a while before a few drops fall as I'm from L.A. But, as soon as it does, I'll pick it up and run outside with it. LOL!

I saw a couple in Holt Renfrew on Bloor in Toronto, but they only had purple and brown and i really want Pink or Fluro Pink , i was told that they will receive more in a couple of weeks! hoping that they will get fluro pink batchel, it would be so perfect for school!!

I have the Deep Purple satchel, and it's been rained on quite a bit, unfortunately. It wiped dry and I had no bubbling- I was concerned, I can tell ya.

Exactly as I said it all depends on your style. In the beige color that I saw it remind me of something a older business man would carry. In the other colors it looks better but I think I would prefer something with a more feminine shape but that is more my style. All depends on the person.

I just received my Cambridge batchel (satchel with a handle) and it's really cute. Can't wait to use it at work on Monday. But, I ordered two of them, and at the same time, and only one arrived which I'm not happy about as I'm home from work today and was thus able to receive the delivery. Both should have been in the box and then I would be done with waiting and having to be home. I ordered them in August.
