unfortunately, the Calvi did not work for me.
While I absolutely LOVED the beautiful yellow color & the chevre mysore leather, the design was so hard to use because of the lack of a gusset
I do not want to take all of my cards out everytime I have to use one.
I recently ordered a beautiful calvi from the US site. It‘s my first time seeing one in person so I’m not sure if this is normal- is it supposed to be a bit roomy? My cards slide back and forth. It is almost as though I’d need at least 10 cards on each side to get a firm fit. Is this how it is supposed to be or did mine arrive stretched out?

That would be true for all calvis. If it helps, I have evercolor too and to make things more secure in it, I add some folded currency and that takes care of the slip n' slide.

In my experience, a little room is normal, but there is definitely variation as they are handmade. Also certainly possible that somebody may have tried the one they sent you with a bunch of cards and stretched it out (I bought a different card holder and this was totally the case - had to send it back) When looking at color/leather combos in the boutique, I have seen some that are tighter than others and some that are just made a tad bigger. I don’t keep much in mine so I have chosen to not purchase those that are “too” roomy (or seem roomier than normal).
This makes sense, thank you. I think ideally I’d like a tighter fit but I love the color combo so it’s a trade off. This is a pic I took of it earlier, for reference. Not sure how much you can really tell from that angle. I originally intended for it to hold store gift cards and merchandise credits which don’t fit in my wallet. Now I see if can hold MUCH more.
Yes, A lot of cards need to fit into a calvi for them to be snug. It’s not for everyone, I realize. My husband loves flipping through his cards to take one that he needs so it works well for him. I stop wanting it as the rattling and the flipping would drive me crazy.
You can also always fold a bill or two and tuck it behind the cards- keeps them from slipping and never a bad idea to have a bit of cash with you.

Thank you all! I used my calvi this morning to run an errand. Originally planned to just use it for non essentials like gift cards, but this morning I added a credit card, some cash, and my driver’s license and dashed out the door! I originally didn’t think I’d ever use it as a wallet alternative but I loved using it this way today!
