I had reached out to Charlotteloveluxe about two bags (one preowned, one new from store) and she stopped responding to me after I asked basic questions. It left a bad taste and felt really sketchy.

For the one that was supposed to be new from store, I knew it was a long shot because it was already the next season. She said it was completely sold out, but she can order one that will come in 4-6 weeks or something. I asked more questions about how she can guarantee inventory of something that is sold out (and provide such a specific timeline) and how can I be sure that I will get the bag after handing over my money (since she didn't have it on hand). She stopped answering me.

I thought this was suuuper weird/shady and wondered if she was just ordering a counterfeit to be made and sold to me as "new from store" :|

For the preowned bag, I asked for specific photos of specific angles of a bag to determine condition & authenticity, she said sure and never sent any (I followed up again, but nothing)

I had a similar strange experience with charlotteloveluxe. I was looking for a piece of RTW that is unavailable in the US. I asked her if it was available and she said she had to check with her SA and let me know. Six hours later she says yes it is available, so I sent the funds via zelle. She immediately after says she has to check with her SA again. I was confused, because she just said she already did which is why I sent the funds in the first place. She gets back to me & says it is not available after all & her SA made a mistake. I was really confused, and worried now that I wouldn't get refunded, and since I paid via zelle I would have no recourse if something sketchy was going on. She did thankfully refund me in full via zelle within 1 hour, so I'm not sure what to make of it all.

Has anyone bought items from @rrluxeloversbackup before? I am keen on an item but I never bought from a reseller before so have some reservations....it's small premium for an OOS LV item here...My hubby told me to just forget it and just wait until the store has it (not orderable anymore)...

Haven't bought from that reseller, but have you checked LV's website if any other store in the country has the item?
I feel like LV has much more transparency around inventory (allowing you to check stock yourself via their website) and restocks more frequently as well
I wanted to buy an LV item that was sold out in my town and the SAs said it's not orderable. I signed up for the online in-stock notification and also checked the store inventory country-wide on an ongoing basis. I ended up seeing it stock from LV on Maui, gave them a call, and ordered it over the phone. They shipped it immediately via Fedex 2-day:) It's a little more manual work on your end, but better than giving your money to a reseller

OMG! Thank you for your advice!! Yes I know it's OOS in Australia, Singapore and definitely not orderable anymorebut there are stocks available in Japan and I did seek a PS from Japan (momoland) and it was AUD$300 over retail. If you dont mind sharing where are you based? And the Maui store allowed you to order as well? I wonder if LV in Tokyo would ship to Australia?

Ahh I see. I don't know if they allow you to order internationally over the phone :/ Doesn't hurt to ask LV!
I live in the US so I was able to get it from Maui store no problem
Good luck, I hope you are able to get it!

Here is my final update about my shopping experience with Luxurytholic.
Eunice Lau - the main seller of Luxurytholic came back after all of us commented on her post. She quickly provided assistance and refunded to those buyers whose bags were not available. Although Eunice Lau got her act together and resolved everything professionally and fairly, it took her 10-14 days to do it because her assistant failed to communicate with us. I have talked to her buyers and they are incredibly awesome and surprisingly patient with all of the delays. They would totally understand if they were given an update. Luxurytholic is legit; however, they need to improve their communication channel with clients. My bag came today and it seems authentic to me. The package was wrapped neatly and safely arrived.
If you get anything from them, please pay with PayPal Invoice. Even though PayPal Invoice costs more ( 3-7% ) , it protects you as a buyer. Please only do Transferwise and bank transfer with someone you trust and have good experiences with. When Luxurytholic disappeared, I thought about opening to dispute with Transferwise and lemme tell you this, it wasn’t easy at all.
Thank you for reading x
I am going through the same thing right now with Luxurytholic, and I’m really stressed about it. This is my first time dealing with a PS, and I paid for my bag over a month ago and have received virtually no updates on the order. She said it would arrive in 2-3 weeks and had to be shipped to her first from Korea...and that hasn’t happened. Mind you, it would then need to be shipped from HK to the US. I told her I was uneasy with this and have asked for updates every week and pretty much gotten none or been told to “just wait a bit longer.” This week, I asked to cancel the order and for a refund because I’m not comfortable with this transaction at this point. When I’d asked for an invoice initially when I purchased, she didn’t do so. I’m patient, but I’m also not trying to get scammed out of nearly $5K. I saw so many trusted reviews for luxurytholic from other members and on the Chanel FB group, and so I thought she was a trusted seller. I don’t know what to do at this point.

Hello All
Has anyone bought from lbjdlaw on ebay? The personal shopper is based in US. I have never bought from US before. Is it legit and are there any additional costs if anyone has made such a purchase. All your help is really really appreciated. Thank you so much.

Hi. Has anyone purchased from theguruedit on IG?

I reached out to her for help purchasing a vintage classic flap. She was initially responsive, we agreed on a price point, and she sent me photos the next day of a bag she had found. I had questions about the condition of the bag from the photos she sent, but she said it was “probably” just the angle/glare etc. I told her I wasn’t comfortable giving the green light to that bag, and I never heard from her again. I didn’t press for a reply because the experience put me off a bit.

It worked out in my favor though because I was able to find the perfect vintage bag myself at a better price point and without her fees.
