I know the retail price of the Capucines is very expensive, but for some reason the resale has always been low, it's been that way for some time. Some will sit and sit until they drop down to 20 percent or so before anyone buys. I think the black ones usually are priced higher then the colored ones. I would never buy a brand new Capucines as the value drops immediately. It's unfortunate they don't have a great resale value, like Chanel or Hermes as they are nice bags, but that's good for people that want to make that purchase in the preloved market.
When in doubt, just get the bag authenticated. Fashionphile has a life time warranty so if it happens to be fake, you can return. They have an x ray machine as well which is what they use to authenticate bags. Im not sure if all bags go thru the xray tho. I’ve noticed that FP is starting to price some bags at a more reasonable price. My guess for doing that is because they are in the business to sell bags, not hold onto them so they price bags lower and have more sales along with the Friday drops in order to push these bags out.
